Como Lake & Mountain

I’ve been to many dozens of private accommodations but this one stands out, like the snowy tips of the mountains around the Lake Como. Absolutely exceptional in every aspect: views, nature, design, style, architecture, bedding, maintenance, attentiveness, personal communication with the owner. The personal touch coming through the books, artwork, old furniture mixed with very comfortable modern items matches the quality of the surroundings with the interior. Could hardly think of anything better.

It’s not that there was anything we didn’t like. But if someone is not aware of the clearly announced warnings that the house can only be accessed from a narrow road with practically no sidewalk it may become a difficulty. However, the owner made sure our safety was as perfect as it gets at such a place, helping us in and out of the garage stopping the traffic , showing us a side-route to walk to the city on safe, pleasant pathway by the lake. So all this becomes rather an extra positive- obviously the location is not ideal for everyone. But those, brave enough to take the nuisance, will be highly rewarded.

The apartment is very clean, comfortable, the kitchen has everything you could need. It has two terraces with incredible views of Lake Como. Leone, the owner's son, responded very quickly to our messages. Definitely we'll be back soon.

The street is very narrow and without sidewalks and there are not many parking spaces available nearby.

The views from the two patios were spectacular as we could see the city and lake from the top! The air conditioner cooled the apartment down really well since it was so hot and humid!

The steep stairs to get up the hill to the apartment would not be appropriate for older or handicap people or small children, but it was fine for us.

Not very comfortable as to public transportation (although there is a bus station very close to the (place it dosnt alwase stop Very dangoures roads with no sidewalks

Quite hard to park and a precarious walk on the road, made harder with kids and big bags. The view was worth it though.

The host was super friendly and helped us with parking on the busy street the first night we arrived
