Heart of Fossgate

Location was excellent for the city. We pre booked parking at the just park in the Morrisons on fossgate island retail park £21 for 3 days. The apartment was clean, tidy, and well equipped. The shower was immense 😂. Seen some reviewers mentioning the noise from the fossgate social beer garden next door. Whilst it was noisy it's only open till 12.30am on a Saturday. Ear plugs were provided and we slept soundly so this wasn't a major issue. Couldn't fault the place. Hosts were very helpful on arrival and I would highly recommend.

Nothing major however the small window which overlooks the beer garden had a screw missing on the upper latch so whilst it did close with the bottom bar on the window it could not be closed tight which let more noise in. But this didn't affect our stay or experience overall

Nothing. For us it was excellent but maybe if the guests had issues with stairs that may be an issue. It’s only 1 floor up though.

The location is fantastic, a great little street with independent cafes and restaurants. Just a stroll away from the Shambles and the heart of the city. It was a little noisy in the bedroom as it's next to a beer garden but that stopped at 12.30. Comfortable sofas and full kitchen which was great after a long day walking round York!

The location was superb,the accommodation was perfect exactly what we wanted for a couple of nights

The stairs cos where pensioners ,but the effort was worth the climb

Ottima posizione; appartamento molto grande e confortevole, caldo in inverno; i proprietari ci hanno fatto trovare dei biscotti e del latte, oltre ad altri prodotti.

La camera da letto affaccia su un locale aperto tutti i giorni oltre mezzanotte. Ovviamente non dipende dai proprietari dell'appartamento (forse si potrebbero migliorare gli infissi per diminuire il rumore?), però è stato difficile dormire. Dipende molto dall'orario in cui si va a letto, nel nostro caso prima di mezzanotte.

How it wasn't far from the town centre, especially as we were only down for 3 nights. Also thank you for the cupcakes.

It took a while to heat up but once it warmed up it was cosy. I think that's just due to no central heating.
