Aura Retreat with Free Parking

Location was as expected and reasonably close to central York. I was a clean comfortable apartment with good seating, a good kitchen and comfortable bed.

The shower u-bend was faulty allowing bad smells to come back up the waste pipe. I reported it and was told it would be fixed. Meanwhile I stopped the smell by covering the outlet. It was quite hot when we were there requiring the siding door type windows to be open when we were in. We used the the provided fan in the bedroom to be used at night. Next to the apartment is a small industrial estate, which had many delivery vans and truck passing the property, was a little noisy but when the windows were closed they did a good job of cutting out the noise. Also the traffic reduced considerably at night. The bed frame leaves little room at the base of the bed to get past. A divan bed frame would have provide a bit more room.

Close to centre easy to find free onsite parking very clean

Brilliant Apartment with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Close to City Centre and near to some large supermarkets if you need to pick up essentials or want a cheap breakfast to start your day. Staff were really helpful providing details of car parks to use in York when we had arrived early to make use of a first full day.

If I had to mention one thing, it would be that the Sofabed bed could do with a better mattress as it’s only thin, but for 2 nights it was fine for our stay.

If you’re sleeping on the sofa bed especially with another person, it’s very uncomfortable, it’s small, hard and dips in the middle. At night when it’s hot and the windows are open it can be a little loud, you get a lot of cars pulling in and out of surrounding car parks and people talking and unpacking loudly.

Great location and the apartment is perfect for a couple

It was advertised as having electric charging facilities for an EV. We booked it because of this but neither charging points were working and the letting agency then told us they weren’t responsible for ensuring they were operating. This was despite us asking before arrival that the facilities were available which they confirmed they were. So caution if you have an EV !

Really lovely. Great place with kids. Supermarkets walk away and city centre 15 mins. Highly Recommended.

1.沙发床很不舒服，比我们在正规酒店用的差很多。床上用品不仅旧，而且质量差，甚至有脏污破损。 2.早上退房太早，9:30退房需要我们早起，不能解决旅途的疲惫。 3.退房后车子也不得不开走，要知道，正规酒店退房后车子都是可以继续停的，直到停满24小时。

Location was good. About 20 minute walk into city centre. Close to several large supermarkets - Morrisons, Lidl etc. Very quiet at the weekend. Well equipped kitchen, if you wanted to eat in. Clean and comfortable. Ideal for a City Break or long weekend.

A bit farther out than we usually stay. On the third floor, so three flights of stairs. Located on the edge of a small industrial estate, so may be noisy/busy during weekday/daytime. Bed a bit too large for the room. A tight squeeze to get past the foot of the bed. May be a bit short on storage space if staying more than a week or so. Notwithstanding the above, we would certainly recommend this apartment and would stay again.
