The Garden Room YORK

Very stylish flat. Really close to York city centre. Very comfortable bed, two TVs and good selection of cooking equipment.

There were no curtains or blinds to shut the window in the lounge. The furniture was more stylish than comfortable.

L’appartement est à distance de marche du centre de York. C’est grand, propre et bien décoré. Le lit est très confortable.

La laveuse ne fonctionne pas. Après plusieurs messages, la direction nous a répondu qu’elle n’a jamais fonctionné .

Location was good & off Rd parking was a bonus.

No instructions on how the cooker or microwave worked, the TV in the living room had no terrestrial channel's so couldn't watch local news or programs but the one in the bedroom was fine? No towel rail in the toilet so had to hang it on the cupboard door? The blind by the TV in the bedroom was really difficult to open & close because how close it was to the TV.

Location was excellent. Everything there, car parking a bonus.

Answering the question we raised about parking. We received no reply.

Can’t fault it really, and we were only here for one night for a restaurant and theatre visit followed by a walk round York the following day before moving on with our tour of Yorkshire!! Short walk to the Barbican Theatre. Good selection of restaurants Italian, Chinese and Indian. “Garden of India” recommended!! Got everything you need for self catering for a comfortable week if required. Car is parked in a gravelled off road courtyard and visible 10 yards from the bedroom window. Big modern TV’s in lounge and Bedroom.

A few noises for the apartment above … think they dropped something but not a major problem. Toilet fan needs renewing .. sounds like jet plane and vibrates the whole house. Nothing of any significance!!

Close to the centre, easy self check in and was able to check in early, clean, decorated really well, all round surprised at how nice it was for the price
