Heart of the City Luxury Apartment

Apartment was very cosy and the facilities were great. The place was a nice amount of space and very homely for our stay. Location was very close to the city centre, as well as only a short ride from the train station, and made visiting york very easy

We were not informed that we would have aground floor apartment and so our place was on a very busy street in york. The walls were. thin and the windows allowed A LOT of noise to pass through. Especially on the weekend, this street is very busy until around 3/4am when all the bars shut. It often sounded like there was a bar right outside our bedroom due to the sheer volume of noise. Due. to us being on the ground floor, all the windows of the apartment looked right out onto the street where people could walk right up to the window. This meant we spent our stay with all the curtains shut.

The location is great. Handy for the City.It was clean, and warm. The bathroom was nicely done out. Nice units in the kitchen. York is lovely with so much to do and see.

Overal It is not luxury as described, In parts it was very basically furnished particularly the bedroom. Nets at the windows were grubby with holes, so needed replacing. Kitchen had all the pans and tins, dustpan and brush all piled up together under the sink ! So a bit off putting. Bathroom was nice and modern, shame about the unsightly anti slip pads in the shower all mouldy. It was very noisy with people passing by at all hours. Some more attention to detail was needed, and better quality finishing touches.

Very comfortable! Pix don't even do justice to how cosy and relaxing the flat is. The open-space kitchen/lounge is the perfect relaxation area. The flat is also carefully and tastefully decorated which helps its cosy atmosphere. Spacious and quaint at the same time, perfect for children as well.

The bedroom window, which I guess is a period feature, is a bit old and lets in quite a bit of light as well as drafts. I would have liked more crockery (extra bowls and plates).

No one knew how to turn on the heated towel rail ! We were there 5 weeks and had to dry our towels in the lounge by the open window.

Good location, nice and clean.

It’s ground floor next to street, only single layer sash window without any safety latch. If we want to open the window for some fresh air or ventilation in this super hot summer temperature, we have to keep an eye on the open window, others it is really easy for people to get in from street level.

Homely environment but modern at the same time. Very clean. The welcome pack was a nice little touch. The shower was lovely.

Not something anyone can control but the noise from the streets - we stayed Friday to Monday and the only night we didn’t really hear anything was the Sunday evening. Down to single pane windows.
