Fantastic location short walk to the attractions of York. The apartment was clean, comfortable & had everything you could need. Communication with the host was easy & her directions to the car park & where the key was located were consise & easy to follow. Would love to have stayed longer.

Liked how easy the sofa turned into a bed, some sofa beds can be a nightmare but it was very convenient. I liked all the little additions we didn’t expect, like some milk left in the fridge on arrival, earplugs in the bathroom, tampons if needed, shampoo/conditioner etc it was all a lovely touch and made the stay more enjoyable. the flat is in a perfect location to see York and is the perfect size, the smart TV meant we had the opportunity to chill in the flat at night when we didn’t want to go out and was very nice to have.

The bed was a little bit uncomfortable for me personally, but other than that everything was perfect.

Perfect location for the city centre just park up and dont worry about your car. The house itself is beautiful and keep to a high standard. The host is very helpful its just the perfect place to stay

The bathroom is really quite small and the sofa bed wasn’t hugely comfortable. I’d say it’s perfect for two people if you don’t need to use the sofa bed in the lounge.

Finding keys for access when we first arrived. But my son figured out the instructions that were texted to me.

Location 10/10, private parking - great, communication from the owner - perfect. Noticed extras, such as biscuits, coffee pods, milk, bathroom bits etc - great touch. Asked for a cot one day before arrival and it was arranged (although it didn’t have a mattress, but we had our own in the car, so it wasn’t a problem) - very helpful. Owner asked if everything was ok mid our stay - again, very thoughtful and nice. Low price considering where the property is.

I don’t like to add any negative comments, especially since the host was very nice, however I feel like 9+ score of this property is very misleading as I have expected the place to be spotless and have no issues since it scores this high, but sadly I would be lying if I said that I have enjoyed my stay at this property. The smell was very strong, there is no air circulation due to only being able to open one window. (As per instructions kitchen/dining room window doesn’t close easily hence it had to be closed), we have stayed there for two nights and even with having one window opened it didn’t help, the smell remained strong and it affected my sleep, I could smell damp, mould… Having the kitchen window opened might help a bit, at least the air would circulate. There were few other issues too - walls painted unevenly, looked a bit messy, decor in the bathroom dusty, dirty baking trays, knives etc. We have travelled with a one year old, so had to cook some food, but didn’t want to use some of the things and ended up buying few cheap bits from Asda (baking tray, pan, chopping boards etc.), so cleanliness wasn’t perfect either. The property has a lot of potential if few of the issues are fixed.
