Hawthorn in Crayke YO61 4TE

- it was a great location - it was spacious - we had a minor parking issue but was solved within seconds - it did feel cosy especially on a evening with lamps on and curtains closed.

- it was dusty and quite a lot of cobwebs (huge one in the hallway up the stairs) -the walls, some of them have mould and cracks and could do with some TLC - the oven definitely needed a clean (glad we didn't need to use it) - the bin wasn't the best, inside the lid was very dirty - the hoover provided hadn't been cleaned out or emptied in a while - bed was uncomfortable for us, very hard - the tv was just basic freeview (no Netflix etc) and there wasn't a dvd player either - just attention to the small things (I.e a torch in the hallway, didn't work. Bathroom door didn't close properly) - the pictures on this website don't reflex what you walk into. (I.e there's been a updated kitchen since those pictures) - listing says free toiletries but apart from hand soap there's nothing like soap or shower gel to use. - does also say terrace on the listing which I guess is the front bit on the way in but I was expecting more than that, just abit misleading.

Location was pretty. Nice bedroom with comfortable mattress. Well-appointed bathrooms. Free Wi-Fi.

Smell and evidence of damp throughout. Oven trays were dirty, which put me off cooking in the oven. Rickety toilet seat. Lack of TV reception.

Brilliant little cottage in a great location

The oven was very dirty and required cleaning before use, no hot water as I didn't realise it was on a timer for 6am (more my issue but a note would have helped) also it mentioned there were toiletries and there was only toilet paper no soaps or washing supplies and there was also a coffee tub full of mouldy blue coffee granules

Spacious apartment with superb views

The property was lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay
