Apartment Two, The Carriage House, Bilbrough, York

Very spacious and well equipped apartment. Comfortable for a family of 6 and our pet dog. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Only thing that wasn’t great were the mattresses on the little extra beds in the lounge. Would probably be suited more for kids as they are not as heavy, but my husband and I took those beds so our children and husband’s parents could have their own room. we found them uncomfortable but for a couple of nights we put up with it.

Cosy, tidy, warm, close to park and ride, clean. All you need is provided.

Nothing but we missed a hairdryer.

It was nice to have the basics as in tea coffee milk etc included. The breakfast provided for the first morning was very good, cereal, bread , eggs , and jams and sauces.

The location was abit more remote than expected , taxi into york was £20 and also the same to nearby villages which we thought quite expensive. It didn’t spoil our stay tho , we went to relax and that’s what we did 😊

Apartment 2, The Carriage House have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The open space area is spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and chairs and some sofas and a TV. The hosts provided breakfast ingredients (eggs, bread, cereals, milk, coffee, tea, sugar etc). They also have a honesty "bar" which is stocked with wine, cider, beer, pringles and soft drinks. The apartment was very clean. The heating was on and the apartment was warm when we arrived. It was freezing cold outside. There is a folder that contains useful information on "Park and ride", nearby restaurants, pharmacy, doctor etc. The kitchen had all the equipment needed to prepare a meal if you wished to do so. The hosts provided us with all the necessary information we needed to gain access to the apartment, house rules and parking options.

The pillows were a disappointment. The 2 on my side of the bed were both lumpy and past their end date.

The apartment was in a lovely property in a peaceful village location. It was warm & comfortable throughout. The host communicated well & gave us a lovely warm friendly welcome.

There was nothing we didn’t like but would suggest the range of cooking equipment - pots, pans & utensils - be improved a little, esp as there is nowhere within walking distance to dine out.

Nice a spacious clean and comfortable . Nice touch with the breakfast .

Second night we stayed was quite loud with the people down stairs with being an older building noise will travel easily .
