Bath and shower wasn’t that clean

The location was great. Near everything but quiet and comfortable.

Some heat, especially to dry the towels. It was chilly in the mornings and evenings. Better lighting in entrance in hallway and back door of main house—-uneven steps in the back. The lock boxes are hard to operate and see the numbers clearly.

Fantastic location near to the city centre but still nice and quiet. The apartment is very comfortable, bright and modern. The bed in particular is extremely comfy. We had a problem with the shower during our stay but the staff at Stays York were great and got it fixed within 24 hours.

We couldn't get any analogue signal on the TV but fortunately we were able to use streaming. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom and the window wouldn't open so this wasn't ideal for showering.

Fabulous location, 5 minutes from the busy areas but this street also has its own community of restaurants, bars and shops which are all lively and welcoming.

Great location, powerful shower, good selection of entertainment, comfortable, had all necessary amenities.

Only 1 full roll and a less than half a roll of toilet paper for 3 days stay. Had to run over to Tesco to grab some more. Keypad on door from main street kept sticking. Took several attempts to get back in on a few occasions. Passageway to apartment along with front door was absolutely rotten due to scaffolding and works.

Loved the location and the quirky design also it was very quiet overlooking the garden everything provided for your needs while staying easy procedure collecting the keys

Disappointed that after reading the good reviews my husband noticed that a clean pillowcase had been put on a blood stained pillow it was very visible through the pillowcase also I’m afraid the oven was very greasy we had to wash a baking tray before we felt comfortable to use it so it was off putting I emailed & phoned York Stays about it we felt a bit let down to be honest as it’s not cheap to stay & I always feel cleanliness is the most important thing I highlighted all of this on the cleaners comments card too also the mattress isn’t comfortable & mezzanine ceiling is very low not great if you’re tall the bathroom needs a blind especially as when we were there the building next door has work going on and the passageway had workmen using it from scaffolding

The layout was nice, location was great

There was a bad smell throughout our stay, cleaning could have been more thorough as there was rodent droppings in the corner of room and a condom wrapper under the bed. The staff did come back to clean very quickly but since there is a rodent issue I believe we should have been given alternative accommodation whilst this issue was being investigated or a partial refund
