"BEST place to stay in LIGURIA"

10.0

Stayed in august 2013. AMAZING homemade authentic italian food from the region of Liguria. Everything is grown on their land or locally. Everything is made my the owner, his wife and his son. The owners are so warm and friendly with everyone. They offer good accommodations for people that want to relax and let go of technology for a few days (cell phone reception is sometimes difficult to catch and there is wifi only in the common area). Its great being surrounded by nature and fresh air. You will never get anything this good anywhere in italy (trust me, i've tried) for this price. Best quality food and charming accommodations!

"Coming back to your senses"

10.0

This is such a wonderful place to visit. A beautiful traditional Italian agriturismo, run by a small family. They produce their own food, prepared by the mother. A real treat for those who enjoy the food of Linguria. They facillitate in small appartments and a campside, right in the heart of nature, in the mountains. Great for families, retraites and those who want to visit Cinque Terre, which is only 45 min away by car. Ca Du Chittu is a Must visit.

"Great place, lovely food, wonderful people"

10.0

This agritourismo / agri campeggio is a delight. It is close to tourist attractions like Cinque Terre, but far enough away to be a great getaway. The family of Ennio, Donnatella and Mattias couldn't be more welcoming and friendly, with plenty of suggestions of places to visit and useful local information. The farm sits in a pretty valley, down a short, but steepish driveway. We were camping in our own tent, and although they were hugely busy preparing for the Easter rush and hadn't yet opened the camping area for the season, they let us pitch our tent and then use the facilities in the house. The camping area itself is among the fruit trees on the lower level, a group of new self-catering masionettes are just opening as we were there. They were the old stable block and looked very nice inside. There are also rooms to rent in the main house and the option for a hearty four/five course dinner, cooked by Donnatella, who is a strong proponent of the Slow Food movement. We had a delicious meal with them. We stayed for four days and would have happily stayed for longer.

"Great people serving wonderful food in a memorable location"

10.0

We stayed here in October of 2012, and we had a delightful time. The food was outstanding, including the little fried lemon cookies at night. The dinner was our most memorable dinner of 16 in Italy. Mattia was charming, and the little village is off the beaten path.

"Just perfect"

10.0

This place is terrific. It is totally genuine, unpretentious and very homely. You feel you're visiting a dear friend who's spent the whole day in the kitchen preparing your evening meal. We could only stay one night, but would return for longer as soon as occasion arises. Donatella could not have been more welcoming (despite our interrupting her cooking), our first floor room was comfortable, the bathroom was fine and lazing on our private terrace and looking at the wooded hills until dinner time was a joy. Donatella's husband and son served us platter after platter of scrumptious food and paired this with a robust red wine. Of the three starters, we loved the deep-fried zucchini flowers with doughy filling (light and delicious) and the diminutive tomatoes in the salad could not have been bettered. The pasta with a special tomato sauce (cooked together with meat that had then been removed) was so good and the pieces of sautéed rabbit were full of flavour. Alas, we could not do justice to the fruit tart afterwards. Breakfast was home-baked bread and cake with plenty of home-made jams. Highly recommended.

"Lovely decor, lovely people"

10.0

First of all: it is an agriturismo. Don't expect al the luxury you have in a business hotel in town. such agriturismo's exist as well but in a total different price class. The room was basic but clean. And how many hours of a day you stay in a room in such lovely place? The bed was a fantastic massive wooden bed in which you can lose each other. And the terrace gave us a few relaxing hours (if you don't forget your mosquito repellent). But the best of it all was the dinner. La mamma is working from the morning to serve the best fresh food you can imagine. Again no high tech but just nice combinations of local things of which we remeber the mountain cheese (region Turin) with the home made pepperoni marmelade as well as the home made pesto genovese as something really exclusive. This was the best place for food we had in 10 days Italy.
