l’Ancora luxury apartment

A well resourced apartment right in the centre of the city. Our host was very friendly and helpful.

Amazing cozy place with absolutely all you need and more! You will never find such a complete accommodation anywhere else. The host Enrico - lovely guy, chatty and he anticipated all our questions in advance, giving us a virtual city tour and best recommendations what to do, where to go and what shall we try to eat. All went perfectly well!

Location is excellent, being very central. All the places we wanted to see were within easy walking distance. Enrico was very helpful, providing local knowledge of some additional places to visit. There were several nice touches, such as free water provided by the hosts.

Difficult to fault the apartment, location or hosts.

No separate bedroom

Upon the arrival the owner agreed to let us in the apartment past the declared check in time. Giuseppe personally waited for us and went above and beyond in the amount of information he provided us with. Especially considering our only short 1 night stay. Personal recommendations, nice spots and restaurants to visit, provided map with highlights of Genova and much more. It made the beginning of our vacation wonderful. We would like to personally send our thanks to Giuseppe once again. The location is perfect, only 10 minutes walk from train/bus station and you are staying right at the port itself super close to the historic centre. The apartment itself had all the equipment necessary, was very pretty and the space was very well thought off. Even though we stayed only one night, we could definitely imagine staying for a week and not missing anything.

The Location was excellent. Our host, Gabrielle, picked us up from the airport and gave us some great advice on what to see; do and where to eat. The Apartment was spotless, Enrico and Gabrielle really had thought of everything, even leaving some Focaccia and a small bottle of Prosecco for us. We would definitely go back

The only issue we had was that the building is covered in scaffolding. I think the cladding may have been getting replaced. While we were there the workmen were literally working directly outside of the apartment window. The work started around 07:30am with constant banging. We had to keep the shutters shut until we left the apartment. This situation was made worse by the only slight fault with the apartment - the room lights are far too bright. They really could do with some ambient lighting (or at least put in some lower wattage bulbs!) I know the work taking place is not their fault but I think we should have been informed of the situation and given the option to cancel. We wouldn't have done but it would have been nice to have the option. Hence the reason for taking a point off the score
