We loved everything about the apartment - its location, decor and furnishings, and the wonderful outside area. Very helpful hosts too.

The lock on the internal door wasn’t the easiest to lock/unlock but we’d got the hang of if by the end of our stay.

This was our second time staying at this apartment. The bed and the sofa bed are comfortable and the apartment has the advantage that it doesn't get especially warm even if the outside temperature is rising (due to it's location there is not much light coming into the apartment except for the bedroom). What stands out is the outside area which is really perfect especially when travelling with younger children, and the location within the city. The host and his wife are very friendly, attentive and helpful. We will not hesitate to book again when we visit Lucca in the future!

The only downside is that there is a bit of a humid scent in the kitchen/living room, probably due to it's location at the ground floor. However for us the outside area, the comfortable beds and bathroom and the quiet area but with proximity to both the buzz of the city and the city wall definitely weigh up for this.

The hosts were very kind and the apartment furnished creatively and with many thoughtful touches. It was great for a solo traveller but was also set up with toys and imaginative provisions for a family. I loved that there was a handwritten note and extra bottle so that I could use the closest drinking water fountain. There was some starter food and water waiting for me on arrival and an easy-to-use washing machine and ironing board. I learnt not to use the oven but use the special oven- microwave instead as the oven tripped the fuse. Dario was very helpful when I needed to reset the fuse on my first evening. The apartment was quiet and cool despite the heat.

The hot water wasn’t very hot but the weather was so hot that it wasn’t so much of an issue

Beautiful quiet location just tucked inside wall of Lucca but only a few minutes to main museums churches and restaurant’s , large comfortable bed , cosy garden to paint in, large bathroom with walk in shower and some toiletries , air con in front room and bedroom but cool inside when hot outside , milk and water and tea/coffee to start you off the week . Lots of interesting art and books about Italy to read . And VERY kind helpful hosts - Thanks

An exceptional location. Charming hosts who go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Very clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped with a large outdoor terrace to relax in.(This is the fourth time we have stayed here. )

The apartment was lovely and a good size. Extremely well equipped. Great location. Outside area was like a little oasis and exceeded our expectations. Dario was incredibly friendly and helpful - providing us with lots of recommendations for Lucca, was always on hand to message if we needed anything or had questions and he even went out of his way to get a high chair for our baby. Highly recommend!!
