Location near the cricket ground. Nice enough simple breakfast

Details on booking. com do not say it is a shared bathroom. No toilet paper and shower in poor condition. Bedroom very small and hardly room for our cases. Other details false on Booking.com information. Owners apparently away and lady looking after the property was probably unable to help in the way the owners would have done.

We had a great stay at Ariyadasa! The room was a great size, very light and airy with beautiful furniture (the photos don't do it justice!). The location is also great - right next to the bus and train station and a very short walk to the fort area. The host was very nice and provided a wonderful breakfast - would definitely recommend!

Great location, very close to Galle Fort and set back from any main roads so it isn't too loud. The bed was comfortable and air con and mosquito nets were provided. OK room given the low price mark for the location.

The room had a few random items that were collecting dust such as a pint glass with a stick in it and a very old candle. The shared bathroom floor was incredibly slippery and the breakfast was cold and not particularly tasty.

The location is quiet compared to other locations in Sri Lanka and the host was very friendly.

Huge! A whole apartment for the two of us. Full kitchen for you to use. It was really nice to not be confined to a hotel/guest room. Parking our tuktuk in our front yard was perfect. We were able to use their laundry machine and there’s a drying rack in the space too. Location was great. 10 mins max walk from the surf spots, local cheap eateries around the corner but off the main strip so peaceful and quiet at night. Communication with the host was always very prompt. Shower pressure was great. I believe there may have been hot water but we didn’t need it.

Bare bones. Not complaints, just things to be aware of. Even toilet paper we had to buy ourselves, host did offer to compensate when we asked. The living area has a table, but the chairs are uncomfortable. There is also no fan, it gets really muggy in the living area. You can’t open doors as then the mozzys swarm in. We did ask about a fan but they said they didn’t have one available. Internet isn’t great, but we’ve had that issue all over Sri Lanka. Also, be careful if it’s raining and you have lights on, even with the curtains close we had a swarm of flying ants in the space!! Pillows feel like they are filled with sand.
