Casa Calù

the hosts did what was in their power to make the property presentable. it looked nice and was well equipped¡

the location - we did not feel safe in the area/the building. it was very loud (day and night). also on the first night the power went off so we were freezing as there was no way to heat the rooms. this could have been avoided with prior instructions from the hosts about the power going out once you turn the heater off.

The apartment is very close to the train station, it was very comfortable and clean and Paola was very kind and willing to give you all the help needed. The building and the neighborhood are not at their best but we had no problem with that.

Convenient to Principe Station to take the bus in from the airport. Great also that it was situated close to the cruise port as we were leaving on a cruise. Vibrant but noisy and may be a little cosmopolitan for some.

There was no internet the entire time we were there and we were not told that the internet was working. Host could have provided more information to provide an easy check in. The numbering on the houses of the road were confusing and the host did not explain how to work them out. The host did not give us the code for the lock box when we eventually managed to find the house & we got the code later via WhatsApp. Don't use the apartment if you have lots of luggage as the steps are very steep. There seems to be a lift but it was not working.
