Lovely Old Town Apt with Free Private Parking Included!

Everything was top-notch. Very comfortable bed. Convenient kitchen/dining/living combo. Very convenient location just down the street from Basilica di San Lorenzo and Ducal palace. View of old city gate from living room window. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, and gelaterias on same street as well as just around many corners in the old town. Short, pleasant walk to porto antico. Fifth floor location meant quiet nights even when there was a concert in front of the Ducsl palace down the street - and lift/elevator fit us and luggage. The host, Andrea, met us as we stepped out of the taxi from the train station (about a 15 euro ride) and checked us in, providing us with a tour of his lovely apartment and a map, which he annotated with many recommendations for sites to visit and local restaurants (which were all hits) - could not have been a nicer or more helpful man. We would stay there again if visiting Genova. A short, 15- minute walk (almost entirely under porticos) to the Genova Brignole train station from which you can easily reach coastal towns like Camogli, Santa Margherita Ligure, and Cinque Terre towns like Monterosso to the south or Italian Riviera towns to the west.

Those with mobility issues should be aware the bedroom and bathroom are perhaps 6 or 7 steps up from the rest of the apartment.

Location central but still quiet

WiFi did not extend into the bedroom. Very minor issue

The location is lovely with plenty of places to eat, or shop and a beautiful place to walk around. Andrea gave us a lot of recommendations of where to eat and what to see. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We couldn't complain about anything.
