Goede bedden, balkon, keukengerei en dichtbij alles (metro, markt, trein, leuke wijk) en in de entree een overzicht met aanbevelingen.

De drankautomaat beneden kregen we niet aan de praat. En dat er voor de ingang buiten gerookt werd.

Location is very good and the room is spacious. The bathroom is spacious too.

There was a strong smell from the WC that was also present in the bedroom. The walls and windows are super bad insulated and therefore very cold. The window lets in a lot of cold air through the gaps. The only heating is the AC and it results in a super dry air while the walls stay cold.

It was a excellent, spacious place - close to attractions, public transport, and they were able to arrange parking for us right in front of the place for AUD 15 / night, which was great for us. It's not really a "hotel" - it's a self-serviced apartment complex. It's got a kitchen, washing machines, and self-managed cleaning (e.g. vacuums are available downstairs). The kitchen was alright, the beds were comfortable, the room was spacious and had good furniture (although small quirk - the table wasn't able to be lowered). There was a washing machine, bathtub, most things were relatively new and clean. There was space to dry clothes in the balcony, the internet was free and pretty fast. The host was responsive over booking.com chat, and the one staff member at the property was really friendly, helpful, and overall a great person.

The biggest dealbreaker (the only dealbreaker, but a major one unfortunately) was the fact that the toilet had this lingering smell of rotten pee or something that permeated the whole room. It was so invasive that even with the door closed and us generously spraying this powerful air freshener we purchased, the smell still lingered and disturbed us even when we were sleeping. It created this lingering headache that was difficult to deal with. Honestly, I still have nightmares about that smell. We complained about it to the host who was accomodating, we requested a change of room and they showed us the other available rooms which were all on the same floor which we could pick from. To our bemusement, BOTH other rooms on that floor had that same smell so we picked the room which had the weakest smell. The toilet opens to the kitchen and it's not in the bathroom, so it's also not an issue contained to the bathroom area - it's there when you enter the room, it's there when you're cooking food, it's there when you're *just* about to sleep. Maybe the city sewerage system was having issues while we were staying as none of the other reviews mention this issue? It's unfortunate as this one issue ruined an otherwise excellent place for us, at a good price in the middle of Kyoto.

We had a good 5 night stay here & loved the village like atmosphere of the area. It was very quiet, had a covered shopping/restaurant strip just around the corner & was a good location to get to the castle, bamboo forest & golden temple.

It was a bit cramped & by this point of our trip wanted a more comfortable bed & higher off the ground.

In an excellent, quiet location , large room with very good facilities. Good bathroom. Thoughtfully decorated. Informative guest board in foyer for restaurants etc.

Beds took up most of space in room.

The staff was great and they were very responsive with communication.
