OESIS - Stylish Villa Steps from Historic Galle Fort

The owner was very friendly and welcoming. He explained everything patiently taking a lot of time. The place has a modern look and was immaculately clean. The beds were luxurious and WiFi signal strong. The place was just a stone's throw away from the Dutch Fort, the main reason why we picked up this villa. The neighbourhood was quiet and we loved the privacy as there were no prying eyes like most places we stayed. I would definitely pick this place again if we happen to visit Galle in the future.

The property is just adjoining a road; I would have preferred a little more remote place. But we knew the property is in the city centre when we booked.

Good location

This is a “well-sold” house based on the photos - with a low level of comfort. The discomfort is caused by the huge amount of dirt in the house. Hairs and dust on the floor, dirt in the corners. There are many carpets and rugs in the house that are dirty, dusty, and stained. Dirty textiles on the dining table. And so on. When we arrived, I asked the owner to vacuum, but he said that it was vacuumed in the morning. (But if I want, he will come back and vacuum again. 😀) And later he said that the previous guests left late. It's a bit controversial. It doesn't really matter, the main point is that this is a dirty house. I don't understand the 9.5 rating. Probably there are many possibilities in the house that are not used.

Location was very good, host was very much accommodative and helpful. Clean and comfortable home. All amenities were working and operational. Nothing was broken. Host allowed us free late checkout as they did not have guests for the next day.
