Mill Lodge

Great accommodation with friendly very friendly and accommodating owners.

We booked for friends who didn’t have anything negative to say about the accommodation.

Bucolic village location, very handy for Wells and Somerset generally.

The community of Wookey was a delightful find, just down the road from Bath. This property is ideally located between town and country for those travelers who desire both. The local pubs were also a plus.

Unhappily the mill was in need of repair so non-operational during our time, but that was not a reason for our choosing Mill Lodge. Traffic noise was probably the most intrusive issue.

A real building of character that was a joy to stay in. Lovely welcome basket with bread made on the premises with flour ground in the mill on the site. Pub across the road, too. The bed was huge and very comfortable, everything worked and was clean. USB plugs by the bed. A bath and a shower in the bathroom - perfect. The hosts were friendly and professional. If we had an issue (we didn't), I was confident it would be sorted out. We were on a motorbike, and I was grateful that I could park right outside. Lots of space inside for our kit, and this was a great base. Wells is just a 2 mile walk via a safe footpath.

Would have been nice to have a dishwasher. Ceilings were low, so if you are over 6ft 2in I could see this being tiresome.

It was very comfortable and well equipped, and in a good location for seeing the local area.

Comfort and layout was great. Location was brilliant.

Mill Lodge has a lovely ambience. It was clean, comfortable, and just a really nice place to stay. Our hosts were warm and friendly, and a welcome basket with home baked bread, homemade marmalade, and some other essentials was a nice touch.

Welcome pack, which included a delicious loaf of home baked bread, was very much appreciated. Cozy. Hosts very friendly and welcoming. Well equipped kitchen. Location perfect for gentle walk into Wells. Bring a torch if you want to walk back in the dark. Taxi's easily obtainable. Choice of three village pubs within five minutes walk (one just across the road).

This old working mill is wonderful. Mill Lodge is very spacious and cozy. It had everything and to top it all, the Burcott Inn is about 10 steps away. Can't wait to visit again for another walking holiday. 30 minutes along quiet lanes to Wookey Hole. Footpaths are endless! Burcott Mill, 10/10!!!

There was a welcome pack with freshly baked bread ground and baked on site. The bed was very comfortable Everything we needed for self catering was there.

The dishes and a wooden spoon were dirty with food dried on. The cooker ovens and roasting pans were blackened
