The Famous Yellow House

Would have been nice to have dark curtain in bedroom for midnight sun.

Anita has been the best hostess ever! She willingly shared her knowledge of local seafood and sourced great quality produce for us. The cabin is extremely cosy, and the views from the cabin are out of this world. There are three outside, secluded dining areas, so one can always sit where the temperature is best.

One should know that half the work surface in the kitchen is for very short people. The kitchen is equipped, but bring a chefs knife if you want to cook like a pro. The beds downstairs are VERY soft. Since there is daylight 24 hours a day during the summer black out curtains would have been nice.

I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a more amazing cabin. If I return to Lofoten, I will definitely book Yellow House again. As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted with stunning views of Lofoten right in front of you. The interior is beautifully designed, with every detail thoughtfully arranged to make you feel at home. Truly unforgettable!

Nothing, everything amazing

This was a fantastic stay. The location is amazing, tucked in the picturesque islands of Norway. The views all around are incredible. It is a close trip to any adventures in Reine or elsewhere in the Lofoten Islands - a great basecamp for exploring or hiking the islands. The house itself is cozy, charming, and inviting. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The location is beyond compare and it is very spacious and comfortable. It has a washer AND a dryer which we’ve found is unusual to have both.

We would have liked to have a microwave to reheat items. There also could be a window shade over the door and the sink to hide the view into the cabin from the prying eyes of the billiards of tourists who stop at the property to get their social media pictures from morning till night. If the northern lights appear be forewarned that people will descend on this property to get their photos as well and can be noisy in the middle of the night.
