Casa Rattazzi

This was an absolutely fabulous place to stay. Lots of space and beautifully presented throughout. Our hosts provided lots of useful information and checked that all was well once we had settled in. Faultless.

The location is very central. You are 2 minutes walk or less to supermarkets, wonderful cafés, delicious restaurants, and 30 seconds away from boutiques. The hosts were welcoming and kept on checking on with us discretely if we had any questions or problems, which we didn't. This was an exceptionally stunning apartment. In such a regal city as Torino, it felt appropriate to stay in such a beautiful place. The photos do not do the apartment justice. It is quite large and have I already mentioned how stunning this place was? The apartment was well-equipped. We enjoyed being able to cook for ourselves, and the kitchen already had cooking basics. We stayed in winter and the apartment was nicely warm. We can't wait to come and stay again.

We live in the center of a city in France, so it was fine, but some guests may find the location a little noisy.

Probably one of the most beautiful apartments that I have ever rented: Zero Ikea, perfectly funished with antique pieces and paintings and a living room where you just think to logde in a little palazzo. Comfort & tasteful interiors in a unique harmony. Also ideal location 5 minutes from the train station away, but nevertheless very quiet at night. Highly recommendable!

This is one of the nicest apartments we have ever stayed in! The photos don't do it justice; it's much larger than it looks. The location could not be better--very close to the Porta Nuova train station (where you can check bags), and steps away from a host of restaurants and cafes. It was easy to collect the keys, and the hosts provided photos of the front door, the button to push, the key safe, etc., along with a map of the area and suggestions of where to eat and shop. They were extremely nice and let us check in early, as we had a very early flight from London, which we really appreciated. We would love to stay here again on our next trip to the wonderful city of Torino. (Note: If you like to cook, there is a large and excellent Esselunga supermarket in the train station.) (We must say we do not recognise anything in Jean-Francis's review on 15 October. The apartment building is on a pedestrianised street, not an alley (though there is access in the back through a courtyard--perhaps he was confused?). The elevator works fine, though you will need the key--ignore the scary-looking notices taped on the door.)

It wasn't a problem for us, but if you are very sensitive to noise you might want to bring some earplugs. It is in the middle of the city and there are the usual sounds during the day, and at night you will hear the very popular pub on the corner, which is open until 2 am. The windows do quite a good job of blocking out most of the noise, but you might still want earplugs. It would also be nice to have a second reading light in the bedroom.

I loved Casa Rattazzi! Just a 3 minute walk from the train station and centrally located so you can walk to all major Torino attractions. I loved the apartment and felt like I was living in a noble’s apartment. The living room ceiling is stunning and I could just lie on the couch and gaze at it for hours. the huge tub was great for a nice long soak after a day of exploring. And the art collection was amazing.

It’s not an issue but be aware of the lack of A/C. There are plenty of windows for a good cross breeze and a fan for circulation.
