Río Celeste Nature View

A nice place to stay to be close to Rio Celeste (5 minutes away). Located in very nice garden setting. Units are spread out and some are on their own. Our unit had two separate bedrooms and a table (would have been nice to have 4 chairs). Make sure you find out ahead of time where you are staying. Our booking.com said we were at the "Rio Celeste Nature View" but when we arrived there was no one there and it looked like only one unit (and not what was pictured in our booking). We didn't have cell service so it took ~30 minutes to figure out that our unit was located 300m away at "Posada Rio Celeste". We ended up eating at the restaurant at Posada Rio Celeste - food was great and prices excellent.

Unit was musty and we were hesitant to air out because none of the windows had screens. Kitchen is VERY basic - could use a frying pan and a few more utensils and new cutting board. If you plan to cook here, make sure to stop at grocery store BEFORE getting to town. All the grocery stores in town are small and do not have enough for making dinner. Note that even though this property has access to rio celeste river, entrance fee is not included with room.

Clean and cheap no frills property, really friendly English speaking owner and next door to private access to Rio Celeste and easy reach of mini market and restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Very close to Tenorio National park

Ear plugs needed on a rainy night

small simple cottages surrounded by nature. the staff are welcoming and helpful. it’s a family affair. close to the Tenirio Volcano park and Rio Celeste. On site restaurant has good food choices at Incredibly reasonable prices. free range parrot speaks Spanish. Hola!

At an under $45 price, lacking some niceties are forgiven. Everything we wanted including ice and hot water shower were present. it’s off paved roads which can always be a challenge for a visitor, but very worth the effort.

The location is great, close to the National park, set in beautiful gardens. Elias was there to meet us and was very friendly and helpful. We had a delicious dinner in his lovely mum’s restaurant.

The house is very basic and dark. The windows don’t fit properly in the frames and there isn’t enough equipment in the kitchen for a family of 4 to prepare dinner. It just needs a bit more care and attention to align the inside with the outside
