Great location on Half Moon Bay - quiet family friendly spot - perfect if you enjoy snorkeling

Need some esthetic upgrades

All spacious units with ocean views. Patio doors open every night with sound of surf to sleep. Well equipped kitchen. Excellent restaurants within walking distance. Lovely cenote and ocean front access for snorkelling. Wonderful accommodating, responsive staff - especially Ernesto, Ricardo, Dulce. Reasonably priced.

Beautiful accommodations on a beautiful beach. Staff is very accommodating. The pool is lovely too!

There was a lack of beach chairs.

The beach was not that swimming friendly with a lot of rocks and corals on the beach and when we tried to go into the water. But there are other nice beaches on a walking distance (2 km away). The ATM did not work in Akumal so remember to bring cash if needed. The hotel is quite far away from many restaurants but La Lunita next door was excellent.

The AC had a bad odor when we briefly turned it on. Also, the sliding glass doors and screens were difficult to open and close.

We brought snorkels and water shoes. That is all we needed to entertain ourselves for hours and hours. So many tropical fish in the reef of half moon bay.

The router wasn’t strong enough to provide a WiFi signal to the bedrooms. (The internet is slow, but that is to be expected. However, they can improve the strength of the WiFi signal so you can connect devices in the bedrooms.) The network didn’t appear as an option ti connect to in either bedroom on three different devices.

The location is right on the water, making swimming and snorkeling easy. The apartment is spacious and comfortably furnished. The kitchen can actually be used (unlike other properties I've been to) for cooking. There is easy parking in front of the building.
