Nedre Stølen Apartment Bergen

The house is very nice and practically organized. Owners are very kind and responsive. The kitchen has mostly everything I needed, and the overall style is modern and warm at the same time. Supermarket is close, and the best Bergen bits are only 5 minutes away. The surroundings is pictoresque, are all typical old wooden houses.

Unfortunately it is a wooden house, and the education of the neighbours above determines the quality of your sleep. In my case some young people stayed up until 3 AM, walking up and down, preventing my sleep entirely. Maybe the owner should provide a phone number to call (not his), when people in the "Apartment B" above misbehave so clearly.

Very comfortable and good location, everything is clear and comfortable, I recommend it.

There was nothing not to like.

The location was perfect. The apartment had everything we needed and more. It was very clean, lovely and warm. The hosts were very quick to reply to messages.

One tiny wish…that the curtains were thicker.

Super cozy apartment in a very characteristic area. Nothing was missing (kitchenware, bathroom accessories...). Close to a supermarket. Close to the center.

Bathroom not perfectly suitable if you have a baby (missing shower box, small sink). Almost impossible to get rid of humidity, and to dry towels and wet clothes in turn. Room for improvement on cleaning of "hidden" places (drawers, kitchen storage, oven).

We loved the old neighbourhood. Discovered the Extra grocery store less than five minutes away. Easy to communicate with friendly hosts; they created flexibility when we needed help with check-in. Kitchen well supplied. A lot of storage space!

We wound up sleeping in two places, one on the bed and one on the couch. The bed is under a low-hanging stairwell to the second floor. The person sleeping on the inside doesn't really have room to turn over or ready access to the washroom at night. I would want to reread the description but suggest describing this as a place that is ideal for one person. Would appreciate a heavier curtain on the windows as people are walking directly outside the apartment. Would be great to add one more folding chair for eating at the table. If possible in the future, would be great to create a small shower stall. In the current design, the bathroom floor gets quite wet. Used one of our shower towels to soak up the water.

The location was excellent and the neighborhood very nice.

The tiny bathroom gets very wet and slippery during showers, we suggest providing a squeegee.
