Palace Pernarius

Beautifully renovated, with high ceilings and well-equipped kithenette. Lots of hot water and excellent wifi. Located quite close to the bottom of the stairs of a small street in old Cavtat which would appeal to those seeking to avoid hiking up and down a great number of stairs, but still wish to be surrounded by the charm of the old town. The location is less than a minute away from the promanade where the majority of restaurants and cafés are located, and still tucked away so one can enjoy peace and quiet. Hosts are extremely welcoming and hospitable.

Lily and Harvey were so wonderful! Such amazing hosts, generous and helpful throughout our stay. they arranged a cotbed for our 3 year old and provided all the necessary facilities we needed for our son. they cooked an evening meal and also treated us to a wonderful cake. we felt like we visited a family. a brilliant location so central in Cavtat, markets and bus station all walking proximity. we had a wonderful stay.

Harvey and Lilly were fantastic hosts, making us feel very welcome and comfortable. They greeted us with lemonade on arrival and shared cheesecake, tiramisu, and strawberries with us on successive evenings. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous and spacious, with a wonderful view. I’d go back in a heartbeat. It is very convenient to everything!

Just a heads up if you have mobility issues. There are 38 stairs to reach the door to the building and another 14 inside to the apartment.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious and beautifully decorated.The views from the terrace were breathtaking.The hosts were helpful and knowledgeable and went out of their way to ensure that we had a lovely holiday.

Great location, unique flat in a historic building in the centre of Cavtat with beautiful terrace and sea view. The hosts are incredibly warm people who make you feel at home. Ideal for couples, but also for families with children.

We would have liked if we had air conditioning. However, it was not mentioned in an add.

Lily and Harvey are incredible hosts, they made us feel like good friends immediately. They offered us to leave our baggage early and also again after checkout which was a huge convenience. They were always easily reachable and responded quickly to emails and calls. They offered coffee and lemonade at checkin and told us lots of interesting things about their incredible property - which is a 500 year old palace which they totally refurbished into an amazingly spacious and beautiful apartment plus their own living area. The apartment has beautiful views and is full of amazing paintings of some of the most famous 19th century painters of the Dubrovnic and Cevtat area.

The location cannot be reached by car so that it takes a short walk from the station with your luggage plus a set of steep stairs to get to the front door, and again stairs to the apartment (not suitable if you have difficulty walking and/or carrying your luggage). However this is more than worth it.
