The Orchards

Everything was exceptionally clean, well equipped kitchen and spacious living area. The bed was really soft and comfortable. There is a huge bath which was a lovely addition too. The location is in a quiet secluded area facing beautiful countryside which was so lovely to wake up to every morning. A car is essential for getting out and about and there’s ample space on the property’s drive for a vehicle. Communication from Victoria and Pete was fantastic throughout as well and ensured we’d knew exactly how to get to/from the cottage and all the essential information needed for our stay. Overall, it was pretty perfect and really enjoyed our time here. Thank you for letting us stay and would definitely return if possible!

Virtually everything was perfect for our stay but the only thing we could say is that an airer or additional places to dry our clothes would’ve been ideal as the weather wasn’t on our side during the trip unfortunately. However, we couldn’t fault anything else!

Nothing is to dislike

We loved the location of the house. The views from the house were absolutely stunning.

There was nothing we can comment on the we didn’t like about the property. We enjoyed absolutely everything!

The place itself is lovely with picturesque views, very cosy and warm with all you need for a few days break. Have stayed for the second time and would stay again.

Turning the car around in the carpark its very tight for a vw tiguan. Its a little hard to find and added to Google maps a pin to find easily on return journeys. A few cobwebs and the bed and pillows are very soft. The shower is quite dainty for my partner at 6ft 3 but he managed.

Loved the rural location, very quiet with good secure garden for the dog. Perfect base for planned days out in the lakes.

Quiet rural location

‘L’ shaped sofa (bed), not very comfy . Shower very small and practically impossible to wash one’s legs - not really necessary to have a big double ended bath, as a bigger shower would make sense. Pre warning that guests using the sofa bed would have to go through the bedroom to access the toilet. No fire blanket or extinguisher in kitchen area despite there being a microwave and other electrical items. Dirt and cobwebs behind the bedroom chair, which again could be replaced with a small drawer unit. There were 3 of us living out of bags only one wardrobe and small bedside units. Nowhere for the sofa bed guest(s) to store anything. A few of £20 to ‘clean up after muddy paw prints), regardless of whether there were any, or not. Our dog is tiny, gets wiped upon entry at all times, left no prints, but just to make sure - I hoovered and mopped the floor myself
