The Tree House

Excellent location. Very peaceful and quiet, which was surprising since it is beside the pub. The hosts were very accommodating and saved a table for us, even when we were running late due to traffic. The food was excellent, home cooked and certainly not lacking in any way. We were not disappointed at all and would certainly be back to stay here, as everyone was sooooo lovely. Thanks so much :)

The shower door rollers had corroded so had to be careful with the shower - however, we fed this back to the owner who thanked us for the feedback so that he could repair it. This was not a big problem to us and did not impact on our stay at all and would certainly stay here again.

We have stayed at the Tree House once before and wanted to stay again . It’s a lovely village and a good base for Durham and Newcastle etc . Lovely Pub as well .

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like . We hope to stay again .

Lovely apartment above the Green Tree pub. Spacious, clean with everything needed. Great for having a dog, large village green and other country walks. Good food in the pub and also at a local Indian, Aruvi

Nothing of note

Lovely pub and lovely staff. The owners were friendly and happy to be approached about anything. The location was fab. The village was nicely quiet, but close to shops etc and not far from Durham centre. The apartment was nice and cosy and soon got warm.

The radiator didn't work in the bathroom, which may have contributed (along with the weather) to there being some damp in the bathroom.

Good location, very quaint pub, apartment has been nicely restored. Very clean. Perfect for our short stay. Great to be able to have dog too. Pub was good too with great Sunday roast.

Nothing really as it met our needs for the weekend. Minor point - the main door to exit apartment was sticking and needs adjusting as it needed brute force to open.

Very welcoming and helpful. Great that we could take along the dogs. Spacious apartment and really comfortable. Had a great nights sleep.

Good size, everything we needed.

Only thing we could have done with was a clothes airer to hang washing on. Otherwise all good.

Really well furnished, perfect lay out and spotless. Pub conveniently on site but no issues with noise
