Lovely comfortable 2 bedroom apartment with everything you need, great kitchen facilities, lovely sitting room and such friendly hosts.

My only very minor criticism was that the double bed was small.. definitely room for a large double or two twins you could push together - twins would also mean they could rent it to 3 friends. But this is a minor thing as I loved the apartment and will definitely book again

Lovely hosts, made us feel extremely welcome. The apartment was wonderfully homely and had everything you could need for a long weekend break. Left feeling extremely happy. The fact that the apartment is above a fantastically run pub was definitely a bonus. Great food, beer, service and ambience in the pub was well worth the 150 mile drive North from the East Midlands.

Location just what we wanted

The sitting room was comfortable and well designed. Location great. Pub great. The decor in the apartment was good. The kitchen was well fitted. The shower was excellent.

The Booking.Com description is inadequate and needs to prepare visitors for what they are to expect, specifically: - The small single room had no window and was Very stuffy, especially given the warm temperatures of the day, and, - To get to the bathroom from the single bedroom, my elderly father had to walk through our bedroom (with his walking stick) to get to the bathroom (2 or 3 times in the night was very disturbing)! - The bathroom door had no lock. - The bed in the main bedroom had changed from the Booking.com photos. Of note, the host suggested that we would have read about the top 2 characteristics above, but Booking.Com does NOT highlight. Other concerns. - The window of the master bedroom did not open, it was painted shut (fire regs?). - The bathroom window did not open and the built-in extractor fan was weak and insufficient. - The carpet was loose (trip hazard) on bottom step of the stairs. - No wifi code in the apartment, for the pub wifi (which works fine in the apartment).

Beautiful location, gorgeous apartment and really lovely hosts - can’t fault a thing! Had a lovely meal in the pub below which had so much character. Looking forward to going back again only wish we had booked longer a weekend wasn’t enough!

Nothing it was perfect

Flat was immaculate. Comfortable furnishings. Owner on site, extremely helpful and friendly. Easy drive into Durham city. Lovely, quiet village. Asda store less than a mile away. Footpaths and a wood to walk the dog. Had a meal in the pub adjoining the flat. Food was good pub standard. Plenty of parking for the flat in the pub car park.

Everything about the accommodation was very good so no negatives to write. If you had mobility issues maybe not suitable as the flat was up a flight of stairs.

Loved the area and being self contained. Our little boy loved the secret bathroom!

Beautiful apartment, very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very responsive to any queries. We arrived late in the evening and were very grateful to find tea, coffee and milk left for us . Easy access into Durham using Uber or park and ride facility. I’m only sorry we didn’t have time to go into the pub below…it looked lovely!

Wonderfully quiet village location. Amenable hosts and extremely clean, nicely decorated apartment.

There was no real wifi available in the property and the only bathroom was an en-suite to the master bedroom which meant the second bedroom guest had to come through the master bedroom to use the bathroom, which wasn't ideal at night, but I may have missed that detail in the description when I booked.
