Preciados Gran Via Luxury Callao

The location was great. Metro was easy to access and all tourist attractions were walkable. The apartment was clean and well thought through. It had everything a family of 5 needed for a city break.

The air conditioning was really not affective in 39 degree heats!

Wonderful location, plenty of room for 6 adults.

Hot, there was AC but I think Madrid is just hot in August and air conditioning can’t keep up. The master bedroom was extremely hot making it difficult to sleep.

Two of the three bedrooms were noisy due to street noise so it was hard to sleep.

Overall we had a lovely stay here, we traveled with 4 adults and 2 teens. Apartment is very spacious and it is in a super location couldn't ask for more. I would highly recommend it for this alone however there were issues!!

The overall communication with the host and gaining access to the apartment was the biggest issue. The number provided on booking.com is not valid and I was unable to make contact with the host when there was an issue. Communication was very poor and at no time could I make contact with the owner via phone. I was provided another number but the person never answered and then only replied by message. We had to provide our arrival details prior to departure which I did twice. We arrived at the apartment at 8.15pm and only gained access to the apartment at 9.30pm. I tried calling both numbers I was provided and there was no answer. I also message on booking.com and eventually got a reply. We had to wait on the street with out suitcases. I had 2 children with us and my elderly parents I was so annoyed and frustrated as I had no way of contacting the hosts. Eventually I got a message to say he was on his way (In Spanish) he said 10 minutes but were were well over 30 minutes waiting at one stage we started to look at other places to stay. It was so upsetting for all. I would be cautious booking here based on this alone as it caused alot of stress and upset for us all. I think there has to be a better way to arrange the keys and also the communication could be better. A valid phone number should be provided. We didn't even get an apology just a sorry for the inconvenience!! This is not good enough, we had to contact booking.com directly to try and see what options we had and they couldn't even contact the host. I don't think anyone should be on booking.com without a valid way of contacting the host. Based on this alone I won't be booking here again. Maybe if the host was a bit more apologetic and tried to ensure we were ok maybe but nothing was said or done to help. Sadly won't be staying here again!!!!

No heating system been connected (for the water it is available)

The decor gives the place a warm and cosy feel. Very spacious rooms, comfortable beds, lots of storage space. Super central location.
