Cromwell Lodge, Cromer, moments from the beach!

The location was good close to the beach and town centre

Tv reception was poor,not the cleanest of places quite a few cobwebs about,and toilet seat was broken

Location is perfect and this holiday let has potential to be amazing but is let down by poor management, communication and hidden fees.

After 2 nights of our stay, the hot tub water turned yellow. After speaking with LRPM they passed the matter on to another lady from a different company to deal with who told us the maintenance man was not available for another couple of days, the water had turned yellow because we hadn't showered before using the hot tub, which we had and in the meantime it would be switched off temotely. Eventually, the maintenance man came out emptied and refilled the hot tub but was told not to switch it back on and it was communicated to us that we would be issued a refund for this. After the promise of a refund and quite a few messages and calls nothing has materialised as they have now told us we hadn't paid for the use of the hot tub prior to our stay. I explained we thought it was included in the price we paid as the hidden fee of £15 a night for the use of the hot tub that they are now claiming should have been paid had not been communicated with us at all before our stay in any communication that we recieved. The hot tub lid release code was given to us with our check-in details and was on when we arrived so like any other person would we assumed we had use of the hot tub. To no avail! As for cooking facilities these are poor and it resulted in us eating out or having takeaways throughout our stay, TV has no signal so good luck if you want to watch anything and the cleaning of the property certainly needs improving as when we arrived tinfoil had been left in the "oven" with fat on and it definitely isn't worth the £75 cleaning fee they charge. I hope not one else gets caught with these hidden fees as reading other reviews the other night on here we are not the first! After 3 years of holidaying in this property and ignoring all the niggles over the years, this year was the final straw as the hot tub use was what we found attractive about this property and we had never had such a stressful time over it in previous years.

Hot tub, dog friendly beach nearby

Oven was very basic and not clean, hot tub had a brown ring at water line on one side when we arrived. There was no outside bins so we had to keep rubbish bags in living area for the whole time. Communication with host was very poor. Most messages on bookings.com were ignored. I was not informed about the extra charge for hot tub beforehand, and despite messages had no info on added charge for my dog until it was too late to cancel.

Location and distance to walk to town 15 minutes. Milk in fridge on arrival and bag of crisps and chocolate fingers.

Received a call at 3pm to say Lodge was ready if we wanted to check in early. On arrival whilst putting shopping away, I found Easter egg boxes in the cupboard. The sink had old food in the plughole and the fridge was dirty. Outside the chair cushions were ripped, dirty, and green in places. I contacted the company the same day and received a reply" I will pass it onto the cleaner's". The price for the lodge invludes a £75 clean. You also have to pay extra to use the hot tub. No one came to resolve. The TV is tiny and loses reception. Double bed uncomfortable and no mattress protection. After reading the reviews, they obviously haven't taken on board any of the negative feedback to resolve any of the issues. We left a day early !!

Enclosed dog garden

Muddy football imprints on French doors, when we stayed in September and still on windows in April so I cleaned the windows myself and had to clean under bathroom radiator which was very dirty and dusted tv and room ornaments. Shower very difficult to turn off.shower Screen very dirty. Patio furniture and pads very soiled couldn't use, grass /mud in garden not well looked after, such a shame as it is a great stay.. just needs some tlc

Great location, nice accommodation with comfy beds.

The garden chairs/cushions weren't cleaned, a little off putting as appeared to be old, left outside a long time with dirt on. Apart from that, a great stay.

very comfortable stay. couple of small issues no mattress cover on double bed, bathroom window didn't open and shower leaked onto floor a bit. The location was fabulous and more than made up for small issues
