It was a beautiful building and the room was nicely decorated and the view was amazing! It's located in a really convenient area, close to restaurants, cafes and great for sightseeing. The host, always replied to questions within a day or even immediately. The beds were a bit hard but for me that’s better than being too soft. The place had pretty good soundproofing, once the windows were closed, we could hear very much from outside. I heard it's an old building so there are some restrictions on installing air conditioning but it was fine :) There are two air conditioners and three fans in the unit.

It’s not a big issue but just a heads up. If you have thick hair, the hot water might not last long enough, so you’ll need to rinse quickly :) One small complaint... the check-out was supposed to be between 11:00 to 11:30 but the housekeeping staff showed up at 10:30! They didn’t even knock and tried to open the door. We had the security chain on but it really surprised us.

"Beautiful and unique space ina perfect location"

The space was very cool. Lots of character. It was much bigger than I expected. Lots of neat artwork and some original fixtures. Location was perfect. Right in the heart of Alfama with lots to do and see.

The only two issues were the noise and air conditioning both to be expected in an old building. There was a festival going on into the middle of the night (not the owners fault obviously) but because it’s an older space you could here everything. The Ac was a bit finicky again because of limitations due to it being an older building but this was minor.

Location was great for us! We had a car so we were fairly close to the parking. Apartment was quiet especially when you closed the windows.

Apartment could use some new towels and minor updates and the coffee machine did not work. Lots of extra furniture and decor that made the apartment feel cluttered. We were also not told of a $60 euro tax that needed to be paid upon arrival.
