Feeling Chiado 29

Location was perfect to see the sights of Lisbon and the view over the city were great. Property was really good and had everything we needed for a short city break. We got picked up at the airport and driven to the apartment by a lovely driver in a fantastic new Mercedes so a great start to the break for us. Great view from the balcony and found some brilliant places to eat and visit. Communication with the owners was great and they were very friendly. Will definitely be back to Lisbon

It was on the top floor so had to climb a steep narrow staircase which was fine for most of us but not so good for a member of the family with vertigo so this was a daily struggle. We never realised when we booked so next time we will look for a ground floor or first floor apartment. The only moan was the beds were slightly uncomfortable and may need renewing.

Superb location, spacious apartment, quiet, fabulous view from the balcony, very friendly host met us on arrival, welcome bottle of wine, comfy beds. Would highly recommend.

Slight smell in one of the bathrooms but not a huge issue. Couch uncomfortable, but again not a big issue as we were out most of the time.

The apartment is in a great location in the heart of everything and the view from the top floor is AMAZING!!!! The host at the reception who greeted us on arrival (I'm sorry I can't remember her name!) was so nice, helpful and welcoming! The apartment was very clean. In fact, they provide daily housekeeping, which we have never experienced before for an apartment rental. The neighborhood has everything you could ask for -- so many great restaurants, shops, sites and attractions within walking distance.

I think we likely didn't read the fine print before we booked because we missed that the apartment was on the 4th floor (which is really the 5th floor in Europe) with no elevator and the staircase was narrow and windy. This wasn't a big issue for us in the normal course of coming and going because we are still (relatively!) young and healthy but I wouldn't recommend the apartment for an older person or anyone who has is not in good shape or has trouble with stairs. However, getting our suitcases up and down was REALLY difficult. Our apartment was not ready the day we arrived and the luggage hold at the reception building was also on the 4th floor, so we had to get luggage up 5 flights of stairs twice that day in the course of a few hours = not fun (especially for my husband who did most of the carrying!).

The location is good, and the staff are incredibly friendly and patient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The lower toilet emitted an unpleasant odor. Hope they will fix the problem asap.

Fantastic location. Period property over 2 levels. Great views of Lisbon.

Narrow staircase up to 5th floor could be challenging for elderly tourists i.e. carrying luggage.
