Barracão de Alfama Apartments

The location was perfect centre of Alfama also good access with car and closeby cheap parking.the Host was lovely we had some coffee left as well as enough supplies in general

The shower a bit too small, also the matress would need a change. The AC tube was broken and we had to fix it with some plastic upon arrival, and it smelled a little.

It eas so easy to go around the town because the property is so well located, you have a lot of stuff around you that will make you feel like you truly belong to the city + the feeling of home when you get back from a lomg way of wandering around is 💯

It is true that it is a lot of noise from the restaurant that is located down, but it is manageable. Overall, a really night stay!

The owner was very friendly and met us at the museum nearby to show us the way to the room. We also had a lovely, reasonably priced meal at her restaurant around the corner. Lots of eating places nearby, as is the train station. Large kitchen.

It was hot and the mobile aircon unit didnt cool thru to the bedroom very well. We already knew it was a small shower, we managed but a larger person would struggle..

Roomy apartment with everything we needed. Great TV lineup was appreciated after staying at many places with poor selection.

As is common in Europe and on cruise ships, the shower was pretty cramped. We’re used to it, but anyone over weight may need someone to help.

Exceptionally clean, great location, tons of space, useful and large kitchen, great air conditioning, easy check-in, friendly host. Our apartment also had a laundry machine which was very helpful.

The bedroom was next to/above an outdoor restaurant and it would get a little noisy in the evening. However, the restaurant would close and quiet down at a reasonable time so it was not a real problem.

Perfect location and a large comfortable appartment (Superior)

There is a restaurant right below the windows. Ear plugs were must for sleeping (at least for me)

The apartment was very clean and spacious. Everything was ready. The owner was kind.

As it was next to a restaurant with a terrace, it was noisy at nights until midnight. It can be disturbing if you have a light sleep. The wi-fi is really slow.

Marta, the owner, was really nice and welcoming! The apartment was in very good conditions and clean. There was everything to cook and even the washing machine. Towels and bedsheets were spotless! The location of the apartment was also great! We were close to the Museo do Fado and to the main attractions of the Alfama neighbourhood. Baixa was at a walking distance and Chado too (if you felt like taking a longer walk!)
