Barracão de Alfama Apartments

Perfect place to stay in Lisbon.

The apartment was very comfortable but not the same as the pictures when we have made the booking.

Beautiful apartment, bigger than we realised in the pictures. Full kitchen. Very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

Tiny bit of noise from the square below at night but nothing we couldn't sleep through.

The property was fantastic! The host is lovely and met us near the Fado museum before showing us up to the apartment and making sure we would have a comfortable stay. The apartment itself is really spacious and beautifully designed. The photos do not do the apartment justice. The location is perfect, in the heart of Alfama and a 10 minute stroll to the centre. I can’t recommend this apartment more. We loved it so much and hopefully will be returning

Location is excellent. Small but comfortable apartment with everything we needed for a 4day break. Small shower, but adequate if you just want to freshen up. The apartment is in an old building in the old town, so there limits on what can be done without loosing the charm. We were out enjoying the sights and food so didn’t spend much time relaxing indoors, and for our purposes this place was great.

The apartment was in an ideal location, in a beautiful neighbourhood close to everything that we wanted to see. The apartment was bigger than we expected given its price and location, had a fully functioning kitchen, and it was spotlessly clean. The owner (Dulce) was incredibly helpful, accommodating and kind. We will 100% be staying here again on our next visit to Lisbon! Obrigado Dulce!!!

Great little apartment. Had everything you need, amazing communication with the host. Easy check in. But read my thoughts - May it will be helpful.

1. Location was awesome but, there are 3 local restaurants downstairs and smell from the cooking and noise on Thursday and Friday were really bad. 2. Bedsheets were washed in the fabric softener with the strong chemical smell of roses. It made me and my husband sick as we are sensitiva to perfumes or smell in general. 3. We did not expect much for the bed quality or comport, but pillows are absolutely flat and worn out. Fir the money at least pillows could be updated

The location is great, the host is very nice & friendly, the apartment is very clean and organized. Highly recommended!

Location was excellent. Flat was very comfortable with good kitchen facilities and lovely hot shower. Host was very friendly and great communication. Lots of restaurants around with Fado evenings - live music. Easy walk into centre.

We loved it but there was little natural light in the apartment and no view - windows looked out onto a courtyard but that's due to the part of the city it was in. The buildings are tightly packed together. It was noisy on Saturday night because there is a restaurant below it, but that didn't bother us - added to the lovely atmosphere of the place. We didn't spend much time in the apartment but it was perfect for a short city break.
