Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Lisbon. Hosts were very helpful, thoughtful and flat is in very good location. We loved our Pastel de Nata every morning from Manteigaria, just a short walk away, and trips to Time Out Market. Flat is tidy and comfortable.

Although, it's in a good location to walk around it's also quite noisy. It might not be an issue for single or young couple, however we went there with small baby. It was quite hot and humid in the flat + noise factor = we didn't get the best sleep. We kept waking up several times at night. Even a few fans that were in the flat didn't help. We loved having baby kit provided in the flat, however we thought it was a bit overpriced extra fee...

It was exactly as advertised. And more. The location was near perfection. I loved having a the washer/dryer and the small kitchen. The apartment was clean and fresh. And the windows were so helpful in keeping street noise to a minimum

Just the traffic/ street noise but in a big city it’s unavoidable. The soundproofing was helpful.

The apartment is located on the 4th floor of an old, historical building with very high ceiling. Nevertheless, it has an elevator which doesn't happen that often in the historical buildings! It was very clean on our arrival and the check-in process was great even though we've asked to check-in 1h earlier (thank you, Carlota). There's a very narrow, yet nice balcony which gives an opportunity to enjoy the city life running underneath in the evenings. The apartment has everything one might need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay outside of the peak summer season (see the notes below).

First an foremost, the absence of the AC. We were not prepared for that. Especially, considering it's a by far not cheap apartment to rent. I expected in a city like Lisbon where summers get really hot, every apartment should have AC. But here, instead of an AC one will get 3 fans. Which, of course, don't help in an apartment, facing south (read "sun all day in summer") built with stone (read "keeps day heat over night"). The only small trick I found was to place the fans on the balcony in the evening so that they would pull fresh air from the outside into the apartment via the balcony doors. However, one still has to shut the doors for night-time to avoid all the street noise. And then it's still only the fans left to rely on. Considering we came in a heat wave, it was plain too hot to stay with a kid, so we had to interrupt our stay and move to another place. Thanks to Susana and Carlota, we've got some symbolic refund for moving out earlier (which is still better than nothing). Another thing to be aware of is what's written at the very end of "Important information" section when you book - you have to have 200EUR in cash as a deposit when checking in. You get money back (if things are still fine in the apartment) before you move out, but this means two things: - coordinating the checkout with the hosts to get the money back - if you're living outside of the euro-zone, you end up with 200EUR that you don't really need at home, yet those could be helpful while you stay in Lisbon

It was a beautiful apartment right in the heart of Lisbon. A perfect location. The apartment was well appointed and stylish, with all the facilities we needed, including a tumble drier. Despite its central location it was very quiet with the windows closed. We ate in on a couple of occasions and the kitchen had all the facilities we needed to cook a nice meal. The host could not have been more helpful and was available at very short notice when we had a problem with the electrics.

The only slight improvement I would make would be a couple of shelves in the bathroom to put things on. We also had an issue with the electricity, when we used the toaster. It caused the circuit to fuse so we were unable to have any toast, but the circuit was sorted out very quickly and it didn't impact on our stay at all.

Location was absolutely perfect.

As others have mentioned, this is a lovely bright and airy apartment in an historic building. It was immaculately clean and furnished with all modern appliances. It is on a lively, busy road and you feel as if Lisbon life is happening all around you, however, shut the windows and you are in your quiet, private world. The location is absolutely perfect...just one street back from the waterfront, with all the neighbourhoods of old Lisbon town just an easy walk away. What we most valued, however, was the warmth and hospitality of the apartment hosts, who treated us like old friends, and gave us eight days in beautiful Lisbon that we will remember forever.
