Amazing Terrace and Riverview in Historical Lisbon

It was a true Lisboa city living experience. The keyless entry was ideal and proximity to the castle and overlooks made our stay very enjoyable. There is a QR code on the kitchen cabinet to direct you where to place the trash before you depart just down the pedestrian walkway and as we were more than 5 persons we were left the key to the back house with the second bathroom. The back terrance was our quiet from the hubbub of the city and was an excellent place for enjoying a morning tea under the bougainvillea tree of the neighboring terrace. From the front room you have the view to the pedestrian walkway below and the front twin bedroom has the view down to the water and bridge. All in all it was just lovely!

Didn’t bother us, but keep in mind that as this is city living - the hallway is narrow (the width of the entrance door) and the showers are small. The shower in the back house is less than a meter square - so we mostly showered in the main house and primarily used the back house for the WC.

It’s a lovely place in a fantastic location. Yes there is street noise outside but it’s the sound of people having a great time, we loved it and had the balcony windows open in the evening to let the wonderful atmosphere drift in and anyway it’s only a problem for one bedroom. Furniture and beds are comfortable, the courtyard at the back is lovely, the TV has loads of channels, the kitchen is well equipped- there was zero to fault about the place. Finally, Manuel is a great host, helpful with suggestions and very responsive.

The apartment was big and with nice terrace. Also the kitchen was nicely equipped - coffee machine, all necessary spices, oil. Also we were welcomed with the red wine bottle on table.

As the apartment is located in the building where ther is a bar on the ground floor so it is a little bit loud in the nights. On the last day the hot water ended but the owner responded quickly to solve problem.

The communication was excellent. The location was good for Alfama. Great shops and food and drink places nearby, pizzas below the appt are superb. Very handy for Tram 28.

Appt was a little basic in some areas but good value. The main downside is noise until very late from the wine bar and pizza place under the appt.
