FLH Campo de Ourique Bright Apartment

The location was OK, and the apartment nice with good kitchen utensils. The bed was very comfortable.

The apartment was full of dusty fake plants, the air conditioner was not cleaned for a long time, the water flush of the toilet kept getting blocked, the fridge was terribly loud. Also the hosts did not provide not even one single tea bag, suger, some coffee, some little thing that would make life easier for a tired traveler arriving on an evening in an area with no open shops, with rain. I travel a lot, and some hosts would really make a whole basket of cookies, coffee, tea, fruit, even wine in some cases, as a welcome pack. This was very disappointing. Not to mention not even a drop of shampoo, just two small soaps. Not a good value for money. I would never recommend it. The check in was bad, confusing, the lock to get the key was a nightmare, I broke two nails trying to get the keys out. The bus transport was terrible, busses late, no metro station nearby, far from the city center. Also noisy as there was a baby crying the next apartment.

Check in at 3pm is too late. Could have laundry detergent available because I ended up buying a full detergent and I used only once.

Bed was confortable. They had waching machines.

They had coackroaches in the kitchen. Then in order to do the check in you have to go in onther part of the city to pick up the key! I mean, spend twice money on transportation in order to get in the apartment. Finally, the uber dont come easily to that area.

The property has a great location on a rare flat terrain in Lisbon. Ferreira Borges Street has restaurants, cafés, bars, drugstores, and supermarkets. There is a park nearby and is easily reached to and from tourist attractions. The apartment has two small elevators and is spacious and comfortably furnished and equipped with a washing machine, dish washer, and large refrigerator. It has large windows and a fair-sized bedroom with a balcony and closet. Nevertheless, improving a few things could make the apartment more attractive and pleasant.

The more serious issues are privacy and noise. The bedroom dividing wall with the next-door apartment is so thin I could hear a baby crying, muffled voices, and TV sets that were kept on until 3 am! The apartment is in need of sound insulation. It also needs new fresh pillows or to dry clean the present ones to deodorize them. So with the blankets. Providing a new coffee maker with a larger capacity, the tiny one available overflows and I had to clean the kitchen counter every morning. The mugs and sugar pot need to be renewed. The present ones are cracked or chipped. The bathroom light over the mirror needs a switch. I feared to get electrocuted every time I had to plug it in!😁

Flat is as per photos and provides everything you need from first aid box, hairdryer and iron. Local mini market, shops and takeaways.

Wouldn’t book again as collecting key from miles away at agency is a hassle. You won’t get the key before 3.00pm. Knew about this in advance but it’s not a good set up. Stairway has no lights when it’s dark; need a torch. Toilet air vent often smelly. Wonder if block needs some attention on plumbing.

Could hear sound of crying and TV from next apartment- can’t really be avoided, but was the thing I could fault

Very nice and clean apartment in an interesting area with loads of good places around. I enjoyed the stay here.

No smart TVs which was a bit annoying as I didn’t bring a laptop. There are dongles like Chromecast or Fire Sticks that can be added to the TVs to make them smart. The internet was also quite slow sometimes, especially in the evening.
