Santa Joana Apartments with garden and heated pool

Great neighbourhood location with easy metro access into central Lisbon. Great facilities and very accommodating hosts.

The property is fantastic and in a great location and the hosts were great. I would highly recommend staying here

Hosts The hosts are friendly, both Natalia and Jorge and engaged a bit more often when they encountered we were having few issues with the apartment. So as a good will for the trouble, she offered some Pastel De Natal and exchanged our towels often than normal. Location Its literally 10-15 mins walk to Alvade Metro. Walking that direction, you'll come across few things that you can consider important for your stay. Like eating places, coffee/breakfast places, places to buy food for your lunch etc. It is 10 mins away from airport and since we went there as a family, it was cost efficient to take Uber to interesting places. Some Amenities The tiny football pitch benefitted my kids. For some reason the real football disappeared and on came in a plastic ball. Kitchen is equipped with basic necessities, which is important. TV is equipped with Disney+ and Prime, that also helped. Other facilities like washing machine and dryer was available Kids used the pool, whilst it was supercold, they braved it and had couple of splashes but they couldnt stay longer than 30 mins, as they started shivering. Its is NOT HEATED. Summary: Ideal for 2 persons, not 4! If it was just my wife and I, i think it would be cozier but with 4 persons, it was overcrowded and therefore I'd recommend the Hosts to advertise it as 2 persons, not 4 persons. Would we come back? If it was just 2 people, then YES but if we come as 4, this is not the place.

I don't know how this works. When we initially booked the place, it doesn't show which apartment we get. But as you see the pictures, you'd think you got the one displayed on 3rd picture out of 45 pictures - as it makes sense with the title of the apartment, "Pool view". What we got was smaller than that. In a hindsight, it had "pool view", though not quite. The hosts shouldn't advertise this room as 4 adults staying ability. It certainly isn't, even for 2 adults and 2 children. We struggled with space. Our bedroom was double, with barely walking space. And the living room + kitchen was the other room where the sofa was converted to bed. Essentially it is a studio room, where a section is partitioned to create a room. The cubicle of shower room is so small that it felt claustrophobic. Don't get me wrong, the apartment is ideal for 2 persons, for sure. Def not for more than that. Our stay was mostly felt congested and no where to turn to. Essentially its a home property with annex and they are renting the annex. To me the most disappointing was the pool, as this is what captured on advertising line "with heated pool". I can say with 100% certainty that the pool wasn't heated at all. On first day it was so cold, I couldnt use it. My son had a splash or two but they quit after 5 mins as it was simply too cold. We informed the owner but according to her the surrounding weather makes it cold. Following morning, I met another occupant of the apartment and she refused to go into the pool as it was cold, she then had one lap of swim and decided to come out. 2 days before we left, I informed the owner to switch the heating as my kids would like to swim. At the same time, there was maintenance going on and I asked the guy who maintaining it if the heating was on. He said no, that i need to ask Jorge. I asked the helper to text Jorge and she shared the response that the maintenance guy switched it on, so not sure.

Very nice and clean and cozy apartment. We felt like at home and had a great time there. Very good area and atmosphere in the neighborhood. Close to the airport and public transport. Everything is needed for a relaxing staying.

Everything was good, even better than expected, except the cold water in the pool, but we enjoyed it anyway. It was good to jump in a cold water after a hot sunny day.

Everything is fine, the landlord are very nice and helpful in every situation. Very good location and close to the airport.

Host was extremely helpful and friendly. Natalia went over and above expectations.

The modern decor, comfortable beds and pillows, large and fluffy bath towels, security, and the garden/pool surrounds.
