Laura's home

The location was perfect for getting around Lisbon and surrounding areas. The apartment is small but spotless and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. A perfect base for tourists who like to get out and see things and have a nice clean comfortable bed to return to.

The basement apartment is small and claustrophobic. The place smelled damp and had a strong sewer / blocked pipes smell that the host was masking with a plug in room freshener. The small courtyard smelled of sewer so unable to use the area or open door to let in fresh air. The bed was sagging and sofa was old uncomfortable - very hard to find anything positive to say about the place.

Laura was a wonderful host with great communication. The suite was a nice size, spotless, with good A/C and nice amenities. The neighborhood was safe.

There was some noise at night due to neighbours coming home late, or due to bar across the street. The location was about a 15 - 20 minute walk from key attractions.

For 2 people it is a decent spot for a couple nights. The apartment has good wifi, a small fridge, coffee. No stove but the hot plate works well to boil eggs or cook something simple. Bed was pretty comfortable, room had air conditioning and it was quiet for sleeping. Note that there's construction on the building next door so it can get noisy but they are done by 5 or 6pm and we were out exploring anyway. It was always quiet in the evening and night. Laura was communicative and helpful. Nice little grocery store a 5 min walk away and lots of great restaurants nearby.

It was nice and close to the centre and a really useful starting point for exploring. Laura was lovely and really helpful, the price was great and the apartment although fairly small was very well appointed and had everything we needed. It’s situated in the basement of a lovely old building with a little courtyard through the kitchen door. I can imagine that in the very hot summer it would be a great place to be because it would stay fairly cool, although there was aircon if you needed it.
