Estrela Penthouse - Amazing Views

An apartment with beautiful views and all the amenities. Ideal for a family and for a longer stay. Easy to walk to stores and to do sight-seeing.

The apartment was advertised as a 2-bathroom apartment. However, there is just one full bathroom and a separate toilet. It can get very hot in the loft area. An air-conditioning system will be ideal in summer. The furniture in the lounge and dining areas were functional but might need a good update or cleaning.

Location exceptional.

Only one air conditioning unit. None in debrooms.

The property was very central and it was very spacious. Josee was very attentive and a wonderful host. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace.

There was so much space throughout the property, and having a balcony with such incredible views made it even better. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you'd need to cook a meal, nice big bathroom with an additional wc upstairs was great. The location of the property is in a great location, close to a lovely park to go for a walk and right by lots of public transport options.

Lovely apartment, great host (responsive, thoughtful), great views (couldn't use the balcony as it rained !), very well equipped all round . It's bigger than it looks. Great wifi. Estrela is a superb location - the 28 tram takes you straight into where all the tourist sites are, taking in amazing views of the gorgeous city. We walked back from "town" one evening and it was TOUGH - so hilly ! Great coffee shop round the corner "Pastelaria Leitaria Saudade", with a traditional Portugese restaurant "Flor de Estela" next door (same family owns it). The cafe was amazing with super service, savouries and pastries choice great. We didn't get a chance to try the restuarant but the Greek restaurant & the local Portugese fare at "O Lavrador" was outstanding & the restaurant is a hidden gem . All the local cafes/restauranats are fab. Just a 10 minutes walk away is "Ourique" and the market there (with lots of stalls serving meals, with different cuisines) was superb - we tried the very fresh food and there's a great bar there. The park across the road is wonderful, extremely well maintained with 2 super cafes. The bus/tram stop is across the road and there's also a taxi rank (we used it - very reasonable. Ubers alos very cheap in Lisbon). All in all, so happy with our choice. It was lovely and quiet at night so we all got great sleep.

We were aware of this & it didn't affect us but in case people with limited mobility are looking at this apartment - pls be aware that whilst there is a lift, still need to walk a couple of floors up as it's on the 5th floor. Be careful if the pavements are wet (I did slip) - this is the same everywhere in Lisbon, not specific to this apartment. Lisbon is hillier than you can imagine which is part of its charm - just be prepared.

The spaciousness of the apartment, the convenient location, all the necessary facilities, the cabinets of books which gave it a nice feel and the sense that it was an authentic Lisbon property, not a bland, soulless hotel with a shiny foyer and no character. Okay, a few reviews have mentioned a couple of tired aspects here and there that might need attention sooner or later but we had no issues worth mentioning and overall we loved the apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location, spacious apartment, nice view from terrace, all necessary equipment, perfect communicaton with host, flexible check-in.

Fantastic views! The apartment had all the necessary appliances; the hosts were really nice and helpful

The elevator worked up to the 3rd floor and stairs had to be used to get to the apartment on the 5th floor, which was a challenge for the seniors in our group.
