MyPlaceLisbon - Alfama River View Apartment

Location is very good.

Place needs some serious deep cleaning. Couch was so gross I had to cover with bed sheet to sit on it. Also, had to but a bath matt to step in the bath. Tiles very dirty and gross, entrance mirror looks as if no-one has ever cleaned it. It's an old apartment but if you keep it clean and maintain it, it can be still in decent condition.

We loved the Alfama neighborhood. The apartment watches out over a cute street where the trams pass, and you can see the ocean in the distance. The space in the apartment itself is a little outdated but overall fine. The hosts were really nice.

We rented the apartment for 3 nights and loved the view. After one night they builded scaffolds all around the house. Unfortunately, no one communicated that with us. So it is a very unfortunate surprise to wake up, walk out of the bedroom into the living room, and walk straight into the face of a construction worker who was building the scaffold on the balcony. Also, our view was totally blocked for the other two nights. I know the owner can't really do anything about it, and renovations need to be done. But a warning would be nice since the view is half of the reason for renting the apartment.

It’s very well located and within a walk of what we required. Clean apartment and had all we needed.

The stairs to the property is not suitable for elderly residents or those with heavy bags.
