Lisbon, Stylish & Central 2-Bedroom Apartment on Rua Augusta

Location was perfect with fab views, would definitely recommend.

Ensuite bathroom: needs frosting on the glass or a curtain of some kind. Also hooks to hang towels and maybe a shelf to put toiletries on.

Well equipped kitchen, beds were comfortable and overall flat was very clean.

Sound insulation was very poor. Noise from Rua Augusta outside is to be expected, but this was from the flat upstairs. Creaky floorboards meant that you could hear everything from upstairs, especially when they walked around at night, used light switches, moved chairs around, etc. - so loud that it would wake you up in the middle of the night. No bathroom amenities. Could do with some hooks and a bit more counter space in bathrooms.

The location was good for finding restaurants.

The shower controls where terrible for setting the water temperature.

The apartment was very clean. One room had a double bed that fit two adults and the other room had two twin beds. The location is right in the middle of Rua Augusta. It was a central location so we could easily explore all the different areas of Lisbon. We ended up spending most of our time outside of this area. It was very touristy but very nice to walk outside and have coffee and pastries for breakfast. The host was responsive. The apartment is on the 5th floor (winding staircase), but the location has a lift, which was very helpful. We usually took the lift up and the stairs down. There is a washer which was helpful during our stay but no dryer so you will need to air-dry the clothes on the balcony with the provided drying rack. The apartment also has AC which was really nice because it got real hot outside. I would stay here again.

The room with the double bed has a bathroom inside the room. It was enclosed with glass so if you wanted privacy, you could not have someone in the bedroom and in the bathroom simultaneously. We had to meet the host for the keys which was fine but really not necessary if they had keyless entry. We arrived early so we had to pay to store our luggage at a nearby store since the apartment wasn't able to accommodate an early check in that day.
