Chin's Place Sea Residences MOA

The place was big enough for a solo traveler like me which is good and convenient.

The place had a weird smell and their were a lot of small cockroaches around. The bed and sofa were dusty too and the steamer was broken and really dirty when I tried opening the filter. All in all, because it was a short stay, I only used the place to sleep so I did not mind complaining anymore. Also, I was not informed that there was an extra charge and I was told only when I arrived in the place which they reasoned that it was an amount only visible to the owner's end. I find it weird because I have never encountered that in any of the places I stayed using this site.

Proximity to Mall of Asia

Whenever I'm in the MOA area, Chin's Place is my go-to accommodation. I've been staying here for work every year for the past 4-5 years due to our annual convention at SMX, and I've always been satisfied with my stay. This place offers great value for money—definitely cheaper than the hotels around MOA. One thing I particularly appreciate is the ability to cook breakfast, especially in the mornings. There are convenience stores just outside the building, which is very convenient. This year, I decided to walk from the condo to MOA, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's just a 10-minute walk, provided you're wearing comfortable shoes. I can't believe I hadn’t tried it before! Sometimes, getting a taxi or Grab to/from the condo can be challenging, so being able to walk is a significant advantage.

**Things to Improve:** 1. We requested rugs for the bathroom and kitchen, which they provided the following day. However, these should be available from the start. 2. It would be nice to have complimentary soaps, tea, coffee, and bottled water. 3. Providing more than one roll of tissue paper would be helpful, as we ran out quickly and had no immediate stock. All in all, despite these minor areas for improvement, I'll definitely stay here again next year.

The location.

The property need to improve. All things inside were old need to replace. Kitchen were not intended for induction cooking. TV not connected to the wifi so never used. Sofa, dining, bed frame really need to replace. all wear off. And most importantly, the owner/management ask for an additional charge since i paid SGD currency and according to them not enough once they change it to Pesos. The place not even worthy of the price posted and yet they have the audacity to ask for additional payment.

Convenient location. Walking distance to Mall of Asia. 😊 The people managing the property is so nice and accommodating. The lady even helped my son carry his two tumblers to the room. They responded as soon as they can when we had complaint on the room smell.

Expensive parking fees. For overnight, ₱300 overnight charge on top of the ₱50 per hour. For the First 4 hours is ₱50 and then per hour is ₱50. Not that I don’t understand the rules of the property, though. The room we were in, which is room 625, has some unpleasant smell. More like the smell of storage rooms. I can’t explain but we were not comfortable. We tried opening the AC for a bit longer because the contact person for the unit told us it might be the reason but it didn’t change after we left the AC open for few hours. Unfortunately, they can’t move us to other units they own because I believe I heard from them that all of their units are occupied. They are so nice though and I believe this unit has more to offer. Maybe they have to clean and sanitize it more that how they’re usually doing it? Anyway, there’s nothing that can be solved by making sure the units are presentable before letting the guests come in. ☺️❤️
