Ria Olhao

This was a short break with my family and we could not have chosen a better apartment. We were close to the marina and seafront which we enjoyed strolling along. So many fabulous restaurants close by and the seafood was amazing. Had we wanted to cook, the kitchen was very well equipped and lacked nothing. The apartment was bright and airy with a lovely balcony. Everyone slept well in very comfortable beds. I would struggle to find fault. Having an underground parking spot was a bonus as parking appeared to be difficult in the area. The communications with the owner prior and during our arrival were very helpful and we appreciated the provision of a highchair and cot with very cosy covers. We would happily return here.

There is nothing we didn't like! Maybe a couple of umbrellas would be handy but I'm really nitpicking!

A great place!!! Me and my family had an incredible time . There is everything you need . The kitchen is well equipped the beds are big and comftruble, very clean and the location is great. We loved it !!

The check in instructions were very easy to follow as was access to the property, The apartment is large with a west facing balcony so plenty of afternoon sun. The location is perfect for easy walking to the markets and many restaurants. The is also a secure private parking space which we did not use, but for those with a car it is a great benefit. Lift access is an added bonus. There was a welcome pack which included two huge bottles of water, so this saved us having to purchase and carry any.

My wife and I, with two friends, recently had the pleasure of staying for a week in the Ria Olhão apartment, and we can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment I booked, the communication with Alvaro, the host, was fantastic—prompt responses and helpful information made the entire process seamless. Upon arrival, we were thrilled to find the apartment spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Free drinks and coffee were a lovely bonus! The attention to detail made it feel like a home away from home. The comfort level was superb; the beds were cozy, and the living space was inviting and perfect for relaxing with a glass of port and cheese after a day of exploring. The facilities exceeded my expectations, with a fully equipped kitchen that made it easy to whip up meals with local ingredients. The brilliant washing machine enabled us to travel light. Having private parking in the basement car park was a huge bonus, allowing us to explore the surrounding areas without any hassle. The central location of the apartment is unbeatable! It’s just a short stroll from the vibrant waterfront, bustling markets, and some of the best restaurants we've experienced. The food in Olhão is nothing short of amazing—fresh seafood and local delicacies that left us wanting more. Places we can recommend include Pizza Na Pedra, Hola Torito, Jing Shan, Esquina Da Baixa, Indian Hut 2, Delicia de Olhão (basic cafe very popular with the locals for breakfast) and, my personal favourite for traditional Portugese fare, Restaurant Mosse. It was a great town from which to explore the wider area, getting us as far as Alvor to Tavira. For the quality and convenience provided, this apartment is incredible value for money. We can’t wait to return and experience all that Olhão has to offer again! Highly recommended!

Absolutely nothing !

Wonderful location with sea and marina views. Central position with all restaurants and amenities nearby but no noise within apartment. Very relaxing stay. Comfortable apartment with many extras to make holiday enjoyable and practical. Excellent hosts.

Communal door key not working a nuisance but door code available.

The host was fantastic.

The location was superb, central to main front street and surrounding bars and restaurants. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Even to the point of supplying not only the basics but some welcome refreshments. The host was beyond helpful accommodating us on our early arrival and was even able to offer us a late departure. Olhao itself is beautiful fishing village with an abundance of restaurants. Definitely worth a visit. We will return.

Situated adjacent to the marina and surrounded by bijou little bars and restaurants, Ria Olhao apartment is the perfect place from which to explore the charming town of Olhao. This bright, spacious apartment comes equipped with everything you need to provide a home from home! From the tasteful decor and comfortable beds with quality bedding to the thoughtful extras such as an ample supply of tea, coffee pods, bottled water and vino, the owners truly go that extra mile to make their guests very welcome.

We couldn’t have chosen a better apartment, indeed we were sorry to have to leave it! Huge thanks to our hosts!

The location. The size of the apartment. The big terrace. The neighborhood. The common areas were always clean. The elevator was in good condition. Very quiet considering it’s in the middle of a busy town. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. No need for a car. The winding streets are charming. The people lovely.

The apartment was old and tired. Needs updating. The “ white” slip covered furniture is beyond getting clean. It is torn, soiled and very uncomfortable. No reading lamps in any of the rooms. Small desk lights which are inadequate are placed on very small tables. I like to read and had to forego that pleasure. The AC was temperamental. When the maid came she reported to the owner I was operating it with the windows open. It was giving an error response and I just wanted to show her that. It wasn’t hot everyday and I was comfortable without it most days. But it needs attention. I have AC in my home and these units are the same. The kitchen drawers are a mess. I didn’t cook as it was cluttered. I would have to reorganize and I was on vacation. It needs decluttering. The terrace rattan furniture is dried out and the cushions worn out and tattered. Dishes and glassware are fine.
