Modern Apartment in the Heart of Oxford with Secure Underground Parking

The 2 biggest pro’s of this apartment is the location (5 min walk into city centre) and the secure, on site parking! Comfy bed, big shower, Nespresso coffee machine!

Apartment can get chilly due to the single pane windows but heated up very quickly using the electric radiators. This wasn’t a problem for us at all.

Good location for visiting the centre of Oxford. Owners provided lots of useful information. Television with complementary Netflix was great. Well-equipped kitchen. Great shower. Nespresso machine. Enough room for two people. Good amount of wardrobe space with extra bedding.

Blinds in the bedroom didn’t work properly. The apartment overlooks a busy main road. So, if you remove the secondary double glazing to open a window to get some fresh air, the traffic noise is significant and intrusive. And that is so throughout the night. We stripped the bed before we left and the under sheet was stained. Personal thing - we don’t like soft pillows as little support for the neck. Big leak on kitchen tap. Underground garage permanently open (remote key not needed) so potentially less secure. Edge of the rug by the front door a trip hazard (we both found that).

The location is fantastic - close to everything but removed enough to be quiet and calm. The rooms were large and well-appointed. The smart tv was great, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen appliances were great and easy to use. We were able to checkin early which was much appreciated, and the contactless checkin was very easy.

The bathroom had an unpleasant smell coming from the drain. We could have used dish towels, more paper towels, and a dish drying rack in the kitchen. The kitchen faucet leaked and created a puddle on the counter.

The door lock is difficult to open. Some light bulbs did not work.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and within easy walking distance of the city centre and the bus and train stations.

The only issue was that the traffic was at times a little noisy.
