Seas the Day - self catering lodge North Uist

The Uists are an amazing place, & the cabin is set back from the road in North Uist near to the coast, beside another couple of buildings. The location is ideal for exploring & for enjoying the nature & the surroundings. The cabin itself is relatively new, well appointed, had all the features & facilities you need for the stay & to cater for yourself. Bed was comfy, the whole place clean & warm. There is a deck with outdoor seats on 2 sides of the cabin to take in the views. The nearest pub/restaurant was maybe 10 minutes drive, & the nearest co-op shop another 10 minutes or so in the opposite direction. The hosts were super friendly & helpful, & there were books & leaflets for local sites & trips.

We have stopped with Ann in the pod before and each time it has been fantastic. She is friendly, helpful and approachable and the accommodation is excellent. It's compact but beautifully done out with all the things you need. I hope we will continue to visit for many years to come.

Very comfortable, well designed, Ann was a great host

Beautifully decorated, light and airy living space. Super comfortable bed. Chalet lovely and cosy and brilliant facilities. Wonderful and friendly host. Will definitely return in the future.

We loved everything, the only suggestion we would make is the option of roller black out blinds in the bedroom windows for a longer lie in. When it's bright at 4:30am during the bright summer mornings a little bit of a longer lie in would be great. But this is certainly not a complaint!

The lodge was perfect. A good size for a couple, beautifully decorated and in an excellent location. Ann is a warm and welcoming host, and provided us with advice about visits, walks pand beaches, and meals out. North Uist is fabulous for its wildlife. We had Short-eared Owls and Hen Harriers actually flying around the lodge, and wonderful orchids everywhere. Hope to return.
