Parking

The location at the harbor is great. Both the old town and the Witby Abbey are easily reachable by foot. The apartment is clean and well equipped.

Parking in front of the apartment is only allowed for a very limited amount of time. The nearest paid parking was full most of the time, so we had to park the car at the big (paid) parking next to the Abbey, which is a 10 minute uphill walk. We found this a bit uncomfortable. The bridge over the river was closed for cars due to festivities. But when it is open, the parking on the other side is reachable and within a 5 minutes walk.

Perfect location for Whitby centre.Finding a parking space was abit tricky.Lovely apartment for families.Very clean rooms and beds so comfortable. Would love to come again :)

Holiday cancelled on morning of 2 nd day. flooded bathroom and kitchen due to issue with severe leak from pipes. On arrival the property was disappointing due to cleanliness and decor. It scored high from previous guests but very dated and grubby in parts which needed extra cleaning from ourselves. No heating or hot water on our arrival and required rectifying ( this was done quickly) so off to a bad start! Early next morning after breakfast water coming through light fittings. House became inhabitable. We helped as best we could with regards minimising damage. Owner quick to sort our emergency help but by the time issue was fixed holiday ruined and house a mess. Owner apologetic and gave us full refund but the danger to ourselves and the disappointed of the property ruined the effort everyone put in with regards organising the break away.

Lovely split level apartment very spacious inside, clean. Lovely views of the harbour from the living room and bedrooms upstairs.

The twin bedroom needs a bedside light also some sort of dressing table/unit for hair and toiletries. The courtyard was not very appealing and I was expecting something with maybe a table and chairs. Cigarette ends had been left and not cleared not sure if they had been thrown from the level above as did overlook the entrance courtyard.

The moment you walk in you know its going to be welcoming. The floor is very slippy so be aware but other than that it is absolutely perfect. Lots of essential crockery and pots if you decide to use them with plenty of cups and glasses also. Bed linen was so fresh smelling and clean with loads of space available in the bedrooms also. The views out of the windows is the winning ticket however, waking up in the morning to the sunshine shimmering on the harbour and boats was simply stunning, then, in the evening the reflections in the water with lights and moon etc was again stunning. It is ideally located with restaurants, shops and bus tours on your doorstep. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend to anyone with good steady legs to stay here at Marina House. I had to contact the owner and she replied quickly and was very helpful and polite.
