The ocean view was very nice. So was the property manager. That’s about it.

So many things wrong with renting this unit. First, the parking that was provided was about a kilometer away, and uphill! About a 12 minute walk around blind corners with no sidewalk; dangerous to walk to, therefore parking is not provided as advertised, and it cost 25 euros a day to park there. Stairs to the unit are extremely steep, with no elevator, and 26 steps that are narrow and shallow. The view was very nice but the price of the rental was outrageous for what you get; about 450 euros a night for the equivalent of a one bedroom apartment in terms of space. There were two single beds at the top level shoved against the wall, and connected to the closets so you couldn’t push the beds together. Both the sink and shower at the upper level were clogged and didn’t drain. The downstairs bathroom sink had soapy water from the shower above bubbling in the sink when the upstairs shower was used! Dust was on ledges; dirty overall. The upstairs bathroom had no window treatments at all, so if you showered or sat on the toilet neighbors could see you! A really bad garbage smell came from the courtyard so you couldn’t open the windows to ventilate the unit, and it was very hot. The air conditioner never cooled the unit below 24 Celsius (lower level), and the upstairs was even warmer. Bringing suitcases to the unit was very difficult, even for a 6’, 200lb man like myself because of the stairs. Hit my head in the stairwell several times because of the low beam in there. The main bedroom downstairs had a queen bed that barely fit the room, and we found bugs in the bed! Internet service was very poor, and not enough towels were provided. Washer in the kitchen sounded like a train going by when it was running. No dryer; you hang your towels and other laundry on clothesline off the balcony to dry. Unknown to me at the time it was rented, noisy construction was occurring next door and off the courtyard, and started around 8am.
