Richmond Apartments by Switchback Stays

La casa estaba muy bien y todo lo del interior

El problema fue el barrio y nos sentimos un poco inseguros al volver de noche, hubo incidentes con policía y ambulancia alguna noche

Excellent place, clean, with all the comforts one needs, very close to the beach and with a bus stop to Athens city centre just around the corner.

The hosts are absolutely super—very cool people and extremely quick to respond. We requested an early check-in, and they accommodated us right away without any issues. The apartment itself is very comfortable and features a fresh renovation. The location is convenient too; it feels like about a 20-minute walk to the city center, and taxis around here are very cheap.

There are just a couple of things to keep in mind. First, one of the bedrooms faces the metro tracks. I slept perfectly fine, but it might be an inconvenience for very light sleepers. Second, there is some dirt and untidiness on the street outside the building. This is obviously outside the hosts' control and is something the local community should really address. Overall, we had a great stay!

Posizione piuttosto comoda, vicina al centro anche muovendosi a piedi. Ottima soluzione per raggiungere i due stadi cittadini (quello principale anche a piedi)

When we arrived there (after spending two days in London), we were a little surprised by how run-down that neighborhood was. But then we realized that, sadly, most of Cardiff is like that. Yet, it was completely safe (this is unlike the US, where you can judge the crime level by how the street looks). That said, the hosts were super friendly and helpful. And there are plenty of decent food outlets around (again, in contrast to what a similar looking neighborhood in the US would have).

Given the look of the neighborhood, I'd have appreciated a better lock on the apartment door. The existing one could be opened if one yanks at it.

15 min walk of city centre, good size rooms, very comfortable space wise for the three of us.

the area is a bit off putting rubbish and bins strewn around, saw a large rat. Parking permit was for a different street. Beds were small doubles, even though the rooms are large, Wifi details in welcome pack were wrong, as not the available in flat. Noise from upstairs flat when they used the door and stairs, they were early risers.
