Gunnery's Guest House

Really beautiful, large living room with view over the canal and busy street life. Very comfortable, nicely furnished and homely. Lovely spacious bathroom too with good shower . Comfortable beds and plenty of space. Really friendly help from Jess from bar as owner was away.

Stairs were narrow depth and twisty but we knew that when we booked and that is the nature of old Dutch houses. Only a single hob for cooking and no large saucepan so a bit limiting but there are plenty of places nearby to eat out.

Loved the traditional Dutch style accommodation with a touch of Ireland. Central to everything and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Couldn't fault anything.

Very well furnished and great utilities in a perfect location for the pubs below on the square. Staff are very friendly.

I think the property is great, just a warning that the stairs are very steep.

Location is very nice. Practicaly at the heart of the city. The appartment is nice and warm and it has nice view to the bussy street. It is near the channal which is nice.

Description "small kitchen" is not accurate. It actually doesn't have a kitchen, but only fridge, microwave oven and coffie machine. So you cannot make even a small meal for a familly with a small child The host was othervise friendly, but refused to give us fresh sheets, when we asked, after having a small incident with a child.

Centrally located and easy to find on foot. Unless you have a lot of luggage it's an easy walk from the railway station. An easy walk to and from anywhere in the city in fact. Large private bathroom with instant hot water. Heating controls are simple to use and the radiators respond quickly. Full size fridge, kettle, coffee machine, microwave and toaster. Despite being above a busy pub with another four or five bars within a few metres, it was almost silent in the apartment, even at night.

Unfortunately no access to a patio or balcony for my apartment so had to go downstairs and out into the street for a smoke.

Breakfast - N/A The location was superb. Bedrooms a little cramped but no problem. Lounge/dining area superb.

We had planned to cook once or twice but facilities didn't allow this. This was not a problem at all.

Location was nice, in the city center, nice building, really huge apartment.

Extremely noisy apartment – till 3 a.m. terribly laud music. Kitchen for 5 people with just one small sauce pan, one small pot and one hotplate???
