"Ok for a night"

Bathroom- the bathroom was lovely and the bath very relaxing. It’s a little small but it was lovely. It has all been renovated. The couch in the living room served as a second bed if need be albeit as such was a little uncomfortable to sit on but served it’s purpose. It was quaint and ok for a night. Owner seemed open to any concerns we had before re the parking.

Parking - It is worth noting that there is no free parking outside the property as such. There is road parking which is available (and limited) and “free” only between evening hours thereafter you had to move your car every two hours to a different parking area as you couldn’t return within 1 hour. This would really be frustrating if staying more than one night as you would have to move your car every 2 hours during the day. The owner suggested we could park at the co op or stay in the pub parking across the road and buy a drink and ask the owner if it was ok but we didn’t want a drink. Overall, it should have been noted on the listing. The owner did offer to refund us the accomodation if we were still reluctant which was kind. Backdoor didn’t close properly - there is a sign on the back door stating that the owners are not responsible for any loss or damage to guest possessions and we were reminded numerous times to close the windows and doors however the backdoor lock was actually misaligned with the latch and near impossible to close. We did report this and were told after our visit it was going to be fixed. Kitchen cleanliness - we honestly thought the kitchen hugely let the place down. We wouldn’t want to cook with any of the pots/pans and especially the frying pan. The oven glove was grimy and wasn’t washed, there was no drying cloth to dry any clean dishes with, no dishwasher tablets either. The frying pan well the photo says it all. Location - just a note that the apartment is downstairs opposite a pub. It’s a relatively quiet street but you do hear patrons coming from the pub and chatting outside all hours.

The size and layout of the property was amazing. Lovely new and clean, I was very comfortable and hope to stay again when working in the area. Shops, takeaways and pubs are nice and close. The host, Candice seemed lovely and was very helpful :)

If the parking could be guaranteed and the top windows could be left open, I like air flow, I would score this property 98%. I did manage to park on the road a few metres up from the property, because I was working past the restricted times though.
